I believe I read that this is due to the factory design of the rack and it having a touch more travel in one direction vs. the other.

Those new style switched look sick. I just admit.

Might have to change mine :)

It'd just be the rocker, not the whole switch.

But you had me at "beer"

    Damn!

I guess I'll just have to buck up and buy some to fill the empty holes under my radio.

You can buy blanks for $1-something. I might even have a couple laying around. Those I'll just give to you.

Haven't been near a computer in a while, and Tapatalk stopped working form me
but Ive been busy since school got out.
-Radiator cracked durring a little heatwave in CA so I had to swap that out, cycled all new coolant and trans fluid while I was at it.
-I cleaned regreased and rebooted my OEM axles with stock outer boots and some offroad solutions poly inners
    IMG_3323.jpg
-I finally got skidplate points welded on, I had a shop do it. and they did a great job!
    IMG_3328.jpg IMG_3325.jpg
Now its time to paint all the skids finally!

Sounds like I'm going to not worry about it then! Maybe some thin spacers would do the trick.

Anybody extended the steering stop on that side?

Is the diff drop after a 3" lift necessary for first gens? I've been driving without it for awhile now and haven't seen much wear on the boots

I had this place in Morgan Hill do it Advanced Trucks Inc.
Shop hourly work for fab stuff is rough, 120/hr. took them a little over two hours, but parts cost was only 12 dollars though. they were super friendly guys so i didn't mind giving them my money. plus they had some awesome trucks for me to drool over.
There was an old 70's dodge double cab linked front and rear sitting of 42s or bigger. ill have to get some pics next time I cruise by there.

my boots spewed all over after a measly 2 1/2" lift but some get lucky, But if the fins of the boot rub excessively its only a matter of time.

The problem I had was the rear point where the stock skid plates mount, (the spot under the rack crossmember) was cut out when the previous owner put the drop bracket in. when I took the db off, I didnt have anywhere to mount skids. as long as your have those points this shouldn't be a problem for you.
