Hey guys, so the shop installed my lift wrong with the coil seats upside down. I started investigating after I was concerned why the front end was so much lower and there was a ton of rake in the rear. I read that solving this issue should bring me back up about an inch or so. I have a 2016 DCLB OR with full OME 2 inch lift with 887's. The question is, would adding a 1/4 inch spacers in the front be a bad thing? I don't want to just fix the issue and have it still have such a bad rake in the rear. Thanks!

I installed the dakars a few weeks ago and now i notice a small vibration around 45, I have no shims in the back and i uses the OME carrier bearing spacer. Also maybe a small hum from the driveline or tire noise around 60.
anyone do 2 or 2.5 or 3 for shims, also any videos of driveline angles would help.

Fix it and then see where it's at. Swapping in the pucks is quick and easy if you find you're not satisfied with the height.

Finally got my OME stock kit installed. I remember now why I loved OME so much when I had it in my old Land Rover Discovery - the ride feels tighter than stock but also less harsh over bumps and whatnot.

Totally realistic goal. I would have done everything yesterday but I procrastinated to long and ran out of time.

20160609_160507.jpg My Dakars showed up today, we'll one of them they got split up in transit the other is coming tomorrow lol... is there anything I should do to prepare them before installing to mitigate the possible squeaks etc? Greasing, zipties, plastic shims?

Good window... Thats what I estimated after asking around
Any rust on your lower control arm bolts? The camber adjusting ones. They like to sieze to the inner bushing sleeve... Id recomend getting atleast new bolts for that... If not get antisieze and pull them apart and put some anti sieze on them... Might as well since you will need an alignment anyway after lol...

Oz's pond liner thread covers it.

That's about how long it took my girlfriend and I to install everything including the UCAs. Best part was our neighbors walking past in complete awe that we were tearing apart the truck and later brought us beers! One thing I would say is to make sure you have plenty of jack-stands, jacks (I had a floor and 2 bottle jacks), wheel blocks and sockets that will fit the new leafpack u-bolts. Being that the truck is our only car having to bike to the hardware store was fine but cut into the install time.

    Good luck and have fun!

I have access to 2 floor jack, 2 jack stands, and a bottle jack. Should I look into purchasing about floor jack or stands? I am getting the tools together this evening, hope I can keep from running to the auto parts store. thanks for all the info!

Should get 2 more jack stands and wheel chocks... So we don't read about you getting crushed by your truck during the install

Could just jack the whole truck up and have it all off the ground. Then you don't need wheel chocks. Its also nice when you do the rear... Set the rear axle on the jackstand when you take the leafs out... Unless you plan on leaving the tires on.

I was going to jack the front up and put it on stands, swap the strut assemblies out. Then jack the back up and on stands, then use the jack to raise and lower the differential to install the leafs. Would this work? I do not have a place to store jack stands right now (living in an apartments) so I did not want to buy some if I didn't have to. I will if it is something that would potentially not be safe then of course I would get them.
