Those plates have been through almost 10 winters here. I'm surprised they aren't swiss cheese yet

Let's see if someone else chimes in here, since I'm obviously biased, but this Nitecore obliterates any and all Maglites :bananadance::bananadance:

The $45 premium gets you a CNC cut, powder coated mounting bracket, all the hardware, and the diffuser which lets the flashlight act a lantern. Particularly handy if you're stuck on the side of the road in the middle of the night with a flat.

Many people can't understand spending that kind of coin on a light like this, but for the people who have.....they absolutely love it. I sell tons of them, even though I barely make anything on them.

Most people do not appreciate what a quality light is until they own one.

I have owned every maglite ever made through the years, now you couldn't give me one.
I am one of those that used to say there is no way I am going to spend more than X amount on a flashlight until I bought a quality light, I now have a 1k Lumens light with me everywhere I go.

My preference is Fenix lights, I love the PD35 and the FD40, but Nitecore makes some very nice lights as well, I have many friends that own Nitecore lights, I use a Nitecore charger for my 18650s and 26650s.

For those that are looking for a good light, you wont go wrong with a Fenix or a Nitecore.

This is my favorite light because of it`s lens that zooms in and out.

    But

The kit that KB Voodoo sells is a nice setup for your Taco or any other vehicle.

Would a quick fist work? they are designed to hold shovels, axes, etc. but I wonder if one of them would work for a flashlight. They have different sizes but it kind of looks like this size would work.

Appreciate the info. We do a lot of camping. Would you recommend the FD40 Fenix for that application?

Yes, camping for sure, it makes a great all around light for many applications.

It uses a single 18650 or 26650 battery, it runs well on either of them, the 26650 just gives a little more run time.

I recommend to at least get this charger, there are others that are more expensive and will charge more batteries at one time but this is a good charger.

Appreciate you taking the time. I would like a light, that is also long lasting, as we do 3-5 days at a time.

Thank you. Will order it up per your link.

You're welcome, get yourself 2 or 3 18650 or 26650 batteries for spares and you wont have to buy batteries for many years

This is a good 26650 battery

Sorry for jacking your thread with flashlight info, just trying to be helpful to others.

By the way folks I do not know him nor do I have anything to gain but that flashlight that KB Voodoo sells on his site is a good flashlight as well.

@KB Voodoo, does that mean the possibility of 3rd gen outboard bike racks in the future(near future hopefully)??

Most likely not. It took a year to sell the small batch that I made for the 2nd gen. They cost a lot to make, and they don't carry a very high profit margin (barely enough to cover the taxes I have to pay on them). The price I was selling them at was too low, and they still didn't sell.

I've never been a big fan of Fenix, but that one looks REALLY nice. If it had a built in charger, I'd probably make a mount for it. I think people really like that feature of the Nitecore MH25.

Both I would say. When somebody is going 45 in a 55, and you punch it to get around them, this thing snaps.
