Scirocco's are SO much fun to drive. By far the only VW I would drive.

Yessir you are correct - I have a few female friends who carry it now.

Welcome. And ya, down here in the Democratik Peoples Repblik you used to need a permit for pepper spray up until very recently when our now much more reasonable gubernator rectified that.

Picked up the camper yesterday and with the winds the way they were...WOW, glad I got the sway control hitch. I've towed plenty of smaller stuff, but this is the biggest I've towed with any vehicle so far and I think the Taco handled it well. The gusts were pushing me around a bit on the highway but the sway control kept it all nicely in line, never felt like it was going to take control of the truck. Now I just need to get it loaded up and pick up a few things to prep for next weekend's maiden voyage to Vermont.

Yeah, 'The Spirit of America' doesn't have much of a ring to it.

Or maybe Maine should make it our license plate phrase, lol.
And put it on the sign when you enter the state, too. "Welcome to Maine; the Way Life Should Be. WTF Massachusetts?"

    Nice.
I actually know a Ben in the Manchester area, kinda sorta. He runs a tire shop down that way. Used to work for Tires Incorporated, but I can't remember what the name of his new shop is.

What town is he in? I'll need new shoes pretty soon after I put a lift in my taco.

How far is Wales from like Wells/Ogunquit area? I'm usually one of those pesky tourists a few times a year.

Well the shop is still down in Manchester, I just can't remember what they changed the name to...

Fortunately Wales is far away (enough) from Wells and Ogayquit, up by the Lewiston area. So I can avoid most of the tourist traffic that clogs the roads, hotels, and restaurants down that way during the summer. I used to ride the bike down there during the summer and watch the scenery, but got sick of almost being run over by people who can't understand the concept of a rotary, lol.
