Well, only one thing done today, but I finally took the pics off my phone of the stuff I've done over the past month.

OEMaudio install. Sounds way better than the stock non JBL

CustomCarGrills insert, blacked out the trim piece, and 32" bar with Apex mounts

Didn't get a pic of when I did all LED interior lights but it's worth the 36 bucks. Totally changed the interior when it's dark.

And then today's project was my MBRP catback that showed up this morning. Overall, the 13 1/4" trim was perfect, and install was about 1.5 hrs because I decided to take my time in the heat today.... Sounds great though, and was fairly inexpensive. Sorry for the crappy pic on the floor.

Next up is an icon stage 6 or Dirt King mid travel with kings. Haven't figured out exactly which one I want yet. Have to get this move from Louisiana to California at the end of the month over with first....

Got the Cali Raised light in and wired up. It was a defective MCTunning switch I was dealing with. All in all it was worth it. Being patient and expect cramped hands. Only suggestion would be when running the switch wire through the firewall. Spray the electrical tape/wire/coat hanger wire with silicone spray. It slips right through. The opt7 wiring harness is much better quality than the stock one you get from Cali Raised. image.jpgimage.jpg

On a classic car, yes. Not on anything modern, and DEFINITELY not when it's actually plastic.

Just hoping someone can clarify this for me. I'm going to be installing this on my truck this weekend. The video shows green wire to red and blue wire to green. The picture looks the same to me? What is everyone talking about it being reversed? Could it just be backwards bullet plugs in the tailgate? A little clarification would really help. Thanks guys.

Did you just have to cut a slit into the rubber grommet on the firewall or were you able to push the coat hanger through the opening?

Pushed the coat hanger through. The hole is were the hood latch cable comes through. You slide it along that cable into the truck. No cutting. Two minutes to do. You don't have to push it in to far, couple inches to be able to grab it.

Do you mind taking a picture of where you did it? I'm so glad it got dark last night before I could make a cut in mine.

Well just changed my rear diff fluid, and as suspected I was low. About half a quart low, maybe even more. Replaced with redline 75w85 synthetic. I can already feel the truck shifts smoother. I have the off-road so my diff takes 4 qts. Which it took exactly that before fluid started to trickle out. WTF Toyota

How was the install for the audio system? Looking to do something like that, and j really like the OEM setup. I'm just nervous about taking off the panels and having stuff rattle around. Did you have to cut anything, too?

Did you start with the jbl audio package? I have it in mine and while it isn't bad, I still feel like it needs an amp upgrade. I've seen some people say though that the jbl package can make wiring in any upgrade sort of a pain.

I'll ask you the same thing I asked him, too. Did you start with the jbl audio package? I've heard trying to upgrade any component of the jbl package can be considerably more challenging due to how the jbl system is wired to the control unit. I'm just wanting an amp upgrade, not any speakers at this point.

Seems like it would've pretty easy to imagine any number of scenarios where extra gas would be justified...
