Got a post card from state of Ct. for emissions testing for the Taco. Four years already!.
Just took it to the local garage that does emissions, they put it on the sniffer and passed. 20 bucks, thank you for you continued support. What an effin joke.

Just another "tax", they just don't have the stones to call it that. In Maryland we got the "rain tax" and "flush tax", what a joke.

Yep, I think my days are numbered in this state. When I retire in a couple, I'll have to make some decisions. Certainly, staying in Ct. is not on the top of the list.

Ditto for Maryland, not exactly a retirement haven. The wife and I are looking south towards TN or Guntucky. I just want to sit on my porch and shoot groundhogs.....well more or less.

I have some folks I know in Potter county. A couple years ago, my friend was cutting a check for his property taxes in the amount of 750 bucks. I asked him if that was quarterly, and he said nope, that's for the year.
That's for 50 acres, house, barn, and garage.
That's what my car taxes are here.

That's good to know. I've been haunting the pages here and the PNW guys seems to all be say 18-35, but they're north of me and they're all modding to LT which is something I neither want to do nor can afford. Lol

    Hey everyone!
A little premature but I will be joining you on Monday!
2nd Tacoma, well first was a 82 two wheel peel reggy cab.
It had the 22r 4speed pretty sure it was 4? Awesome truck had kids needed room moved to taking the wife's Impala so she got the better car until the kids grew up. Did this a few times and had to make sure and rotate cars before mileage got too high. Now we have the truck and her suby both have done well all around and have held value!
The wife is jealous of the truck! Guess she has good reason but I like spending time with my truck and I enjoy driving it everyday. Must be midlife crap so she says. I bought my truck used 56k it is a base model I've done a little bit of mods. Most have been Craigslist stuff on the cheap also the hunt for stuff that I wanted.
So I'll being joining you all soon.
    Cheers!!!!
    Jeff

    Very cool.
The porch is a meeting place. Has nothing to do with age. The cooler is full of interesting stuff.
NASCAR , nhra, sprint cars and fishing on the big screen.
There is a loose board in one corner and one member refuses to fix it. We're hoping it hits him in the ass when he walks over it. We need a new rope for the rope swing. Someone went through the barn roof last summer when it broke. Didn't quite make it over to the lake. Outside of that the place is lots of fun.
