Morning everybody! Day three with the 5 grandkids. Thank God that the weather has been good, we had them outside yesterday playing in an effort to wear them out.Good plan but I really just wore myself out! Water park today and I'm going to try to sneak out with the bike for an hour. Well gotta run and help the wife with breakfast and another cup of fully leaded coffee. Y'all have a great day!

It's decision time for my 99 Ranger. Last week it tried to kill me when the brake lines failed on it, I assume that the 16 winters worth of salt finally got her. I've been quoted 3-400 bucks to fix and I'm on the fence about it. With about 189k on her she's still runs strong and is in otherwise good shape. Before this I drove it 3 or 4 days a week, mostly to keep miles off of the Taco. A buddy of mine offered me a pretty reasonable price for it but I'm not sure which direction I'm leaning to.

Good Morning TW 50's. Its going to be hot today in the mitten state, I guess summer is here. We here in the great lakes region complain when its to cold, to hot ,to much rain. So i guess we get like 5 days when its 72* and sunny. I try to remember in Jan. when it was 5*. Getting ready for our trip to the Smokies, just gotta remember I don't have an F250 anymore. Some trout fishing, hiking, drinking by a fire, can't wait. Enjoy your day kids.

Only Ranger I had was a '92. Decent truck to about 150,000. Problem is, I drove it to 170,000. Mine had transmission issues. (4.0 V-6/5-speed) I was broadsided by a garbage truck, in the drivers door. Insurance bought the Ranger. My shoulder is still kinda sketchy to this day. For what it was, it would pull good, but I learned to avoid mud with it. Great in the snow though.....

It really has been rock solid. I've replaced ball joints, shocks and new tires about 2 years ago. If Ford still made the Ranger I probably would have bought that based on my history with her.

When I had mine, they were still built here in Louisville. I ordered mine, Ford gave me a date where I could tour parts of the plant and see my truck being built. That was cool. It spent a LOT of time with a boat and trailer behind it. I owned 2 more 4wds between the Ranger and my Tacoma I have now. The Ranger was the last one to get off roaded much until now.
