Yes, by about $100 with tax.

 

Not much to update except that I picked up two more 35"s Goodyear Wrangler MT/Rs for spares and dropped the truck back off at Solo Motorsports to have them cut/plate the firewall for 35"s

Shakedown run at some point in my MTF life.

 

Years back, I found this article which had templates you can download/ print the patterns for clearancing 35's.

I'm a bit concerned too but no going back now. The Goodyears are a true 35" tire and not a 33.5" or 34.

 

35s are pretty awesome. When I go with those tires i will probably rub again lol

 

I'd be interested to hear what Solo is charging for that. I was quoted $800 for some shop in Temecula to do mine. The Truck Shop said the tires would always rub and I could never fix it. Well they can kiss my ass because after getting that $800 quote I bought a $100 Harbor Freight welder and a sheet of 16 gauge and my tires don't rub at all ever.

My personal opinion is they do shitty work. But they probably just didn't want to do the work.

Haha I've had multiple dealings with them in the past and I'm not a fan. I think firewall tubs are fun

 

They gave me a decent price because I just bought their front kit. Bad part is that mini fenders for one piece had to get relocated/remounted so more $$ on top of estimate. They do top notch work but you get what you pay for.

They will do it right and cycle it to ensure that you actually clear at full bump.

 

Solo's 4WD kit is by far the best there is. Super badass and I can't wait to see it in person
