I would expect to be close to hitting a 4"x4" target.
I know a guy who can hit a 55 gallon drum at 85 yards (Ranged with a range finder) with a snub nose .38 with 4 out of 5 rounds.

    nothing cool
I get it man. I love having fun shooting targets at long range with my G19. I suck balls at it, but it's still fun. Just reading your statement about getting rid of your M&P due to accuracy at 60 yards was confusing.

We had a cop at Fairchild AFB hit a gunman who was shooting up the clinic...two out of three hits with a Beretta 92F from 75 yards. Both hits were fatal.

It can be done, but it takes some practice.

It's just one of the reasons I'm considering getting rid of it, I want to get a suppressor for a handgun and .40 just doesn't suppress well compared to 9mm, and even though i love the ergonomics of the M&P i'm not a big fan of the hinged trigger, I prefer the tabbed trigger that other designs use.
I may just get a 9mm barrel and mags for my .40 and get an apex trigger kit but that's close to the price of a whole gun.

Just out of curiosity when you say the 40 doesn't suppress well, is it subsonic ammo that you've used and not happy with? The only 9mm that I've seen do well suppressed were either light hand loads or factory 147gr.

I haven't shot .40 suppressed, but the ammo prices of subsonic .40 vs 147 9mm sway me towards the 9mm, and the last few times I have checked not many places have sub sonic .40 available.

I need some clarification. You're talking about hitting a 4 inch by 4 inch target and comparing that to hitting a 55 gallon drum? Or did you mean 4'x4' and 4ft by 4ft?

Regardless, I think unless you have a competition handgun with specialty optics, or a long barrel with scope (hunting pistol), you'll be aiming at the top of the target or higher. Drop can be over a foot at 100 yds.

He's hitting a 55 gallon drum at longer range, I should be able to hit a smaller target at closer range with almost 3x the sight radius and I also don't have to hold over as much as he does due to the difference in velocity.

And Jerry Miculek. They're still aiming feet or yards above the target...

Anyone here experienced with CZ 75 pistols? Just DROSed a new CZ 75 SP-01 and have a few questions.

Are the wear marks on my pistol's barrel normal for a new CZ? I know they're test fired at the factory but these wear marks seem excessive for a new pistol.

After I left my LGS, I noticed in the pic that the left rail looks like it has some bubbling of the polycoat. Should I be concerned about this?

    Thanks!

I don't know if it has been covered in here, or if its been asked yet but what safe is recommended? I'm looking at a size for 10 or less rifles.

Recommending a safe is really a personal thing. How much protection do you want, fire rating, size ect. Remember the size ratings by guns are for non scoped, bolt gun size rifles. Add a scoped ar type gun and it'll eat a ton of room.
