I'm planning on getting the Bilstein 5100 kit with Eibach 620 springs and 3 pack progressive AAL. Truck is daily driver/weekend warrior, rarely any load. 50/50 mix of city and highway driving.
I don't want to go over $1000 total for lift plus extras.

    Keep overload on or off?
Eibach vs OME? Eibach's spring rate (620 lb) is higher than all OME coils (590 lb) except 886 at 660 lb spring rate. Future plan is adding aluminum bumper, lightweight winch w/ synthetic rope and aluminum skids. Prefer smooth to stiff. I don't mind rake.
Who makes the best value u-bolt flip with aftermarket bump stop solution? I don't want to weld bump stops onto top plate.
Which bump stops without breaking the bank should I get without having to start cutting, drilling, or welding?
Anyone buy a new strut mount kit before installing new front struts? I know that these parts can wear and feel better starting with new parts top to bottom.
Will I need degree shims for this kit?
Will I need carrier bearing drop for this kit?
Will I need longer brake lines for this kit?

Buy the springs that go with no armor or winch. Then when you pony up for all that stuff upgrade the spring rate. Springs are relatively cheap and you will be happy not to get bounced to hell and back before the big purchases happen.

oh and just call the shop selling you all of this. You put out a lot of variables here. Hard to answer them all because they are all kind of cascading answers if you want the best.

Wheelers usually does a great job with this.

I have been reading the sticky for lifts and suspension and this one of the first things you see:

Bilstien 5100's This is a great affordable lift kit. These replacement shocks are great to add a few inches to the front of your Tacoma, it is adjustable and have a slightly better valving system than the stock shocks that come with the Tacoma's. (But please take note NO One recommends it to be used in conjunction with after market coils) This may result in damage of your suspension components.

I don't know anything about doing a lift and I do not know the expertise of the person that wrote this, but make sure you do lots of research prior to buying anything.

Not sure about damage but you get great success with 5100's and stock coils. You get the lift and still keep a nice ride. Done for a few friends and they all love it.

But can you go past 0 on the 5100's and stock coils and get a lift AND a good ride?

I just installed 5100 with eibach and 2in add a leaf in the rear = 3in lift

Best to also upgrade your upper control arm before alignment, or you'll be changing your UCA sooner then later and back for an alignment. Im running lightning racing SPC UCA.

I have yet to have any issues with the stock brake lines, I do plan on extending them in the future though

From my personal experience invest in what you have plan already. If you plan for a armor and winch then I highly advise you to get a higher lbs springs rate. I went with eibach 620lbs and I have a front armor and sliders and I already lost a inch I could just get the ome 886 but to tear out my springs and reinstall and then getting a alignment but I'm not looking forward to that lol. Get everything right and do it once you be happier.

yeah I made the mistake of buying 886 just for a arb bumper and my lift is sitting 3 1/2 inches from center hub to fender up front which is weird but arb is gonna swap me out with the 885 this week so I can swap that out
