The working man gets screwed again lol

 

Man, I got home from work early, turned on the race, thought Chase Elliott might pull off his first win before I fell asleep.

 

He ran a great race, clean air won it. Can't wait for the new aero package again next week. A lot of cars had trouble passing in the top 5-6, too identical of lap times.

What was that pre qualifying bs? I fell asleep waiting....

 

New aero package, cars were failing pre qual inspection due to rear skew

 

How many new packages do they need lol

 

Whatever it takes to put on a good show, take the handling out of the engineer's hands and put it back in the driver's hands.

Re: pre-quals tech issue: lots of teams
Trying to sneak around new rules, kept getting sent to back of line, delayed qualifying.

Side note: teams are seeming mid-turn break temps similar to Martinsville brake temps which is absurd. I'm afraid we'll see some high speed tire failures on Sunday.

 

This one is on NASCAR, I read somewhere about that high brake temps were ignored by the head shed.

 

From what I understand, a lot of crew chiefs were trying to skirt the rules and do some stuff on the sly but were busted. NASCAR was very lenient and simply sent them to the back of the line on repeat rather than penalize them. Coincidentally, it was the 'Yota's responsible for most of it.

 

Over a fourth of the field when it all started....

Friday: William Byron
Saturday: Daniel Suarez
Sunday: Truex starts 2nd, Hamlin 4th, Busch 9th, Edwards 11th.

Hamlin, Edwards & Kenseth have two wins each at Michigan, with Kenseth the defending winner. Edwards has highest average finishing position among all drivers at Michigan (9.6). Kyle Busch has one CUP win at Michigan.

My picks (starting position):

Ford- Logano (1st)
Chevy- Larson (7th)
Toyota- Edwards (11th)
Dark Horse- Dillon (8th)
Rookie- Blaney (5th)

 

I'll go with Keselowski as the highest ford, Dale Jr. as the highest chevy, and Edwards as the highest Yota

I am in a long shot mood..... # 14 or 78 with a twist of a #18 win just to start another streak...

 

#3 has a cool looking paint scheme for the race. Would be fitting to see it in victory lane.

Think I can be in charge of Kyle Busch's engine?

 

Definitely got some bad luck the last 4/5. Races. His engine temps were up for a few laps early from debris on the grill, could've been a catalyst
