    :wave: Morning all. Make it through the next 1.5 to 2 hrs (depending on how earlyish we can slip out ;)) and don't come back for 9 days. We're making our annual trip over to Chitina to dipnet for Salmon on the Copper river.

    :laugh: Glad I hadn't gone for that end or shift cup yet.

    x2 Happy Birthday @Mike !

    That's a pretty nice break. Is it all spent outside?
    Hope you have a great time.

    While we're over there, most of it. We'll sleep on cots inside the enclosed trailer we use to transport the boat and ATV in. Plan to leave tomorrow and we're usually gone for 3 to 5 days. It gets crowded on the river at the weekends, so we try to make our trip over during the week when we can. This upcoming week is our short 4 day work week, so 4 days of leave gets us 9 days off the way our schedule flows.

    EDIT: and thanks.:oops:

    Morning all!
    Was supposed to mow lawn yesterday. Got sidetracked and installed a solar LED motion detecting LED floodlight in the far end of my property, where kids tend to park, hang out, noisy, drink, probably smoke pot, leave trash and sometimes leave broken glass. Sick and tired of cleaning up after them.
    Hopefully when they park in that area, they move on when the light turns on.

    Good morning everybody, hope all is well. Yes getting older sucks, but it does beat the alternative. Is it me or do some older women just look hotter, you all enjoy the day.

    @Casper66
    When I was 46 I herniated 3 discs in my back extricating a patient from a car accident off the side of the freeway. I spent a year getting injections in to my back trying to abate the pain. During that time a friend, who worked in a hospital, saw someone doing a certain kind of testing on a patient and asked about it. My friend thought of me and now I am doing that. It is a perfect fit for me as well as my previous field kind of played right in to it. It took 3 years to train (man it is hard to learn the older we get) and I know we may not have the same time available we did 10 years ago, but maybe there is something you can get into with a shorter/easier transition. Keep pressing in, there is no reason to suffer at work day in and day out. This was the hardest time for my family due to my wife going back to work after 16 years of not and me being in pain, studying a lot and still trying to be there for my boys. We now think of that time as one of the best times of our lives.

    Yep, at a unique age where some older ones are hot and the "young" ones in their 40's are hot.
    Don't know where to look anymore.

    At our age we could go +/- 5 years, I don't think it matters all that much, find someone you can live the rest of your life with and enjoy it. Many of us have been through a lot and just deserve someone to walk beside without all the crap.

    Grad party for niece today. May try to fish later. Not sure. Was way to sore early am.
