Thanks. I don't have a peanut grinder but I'm sure I can find a conical shaped grinding piece for the dremel.

My antisquat is about 95%. Truck works great though. I'm no expert on links, may need to research a bit on pirate. Just try to avoid creating a new thread haha. If anything, pm someone that looks like they aren't an ass hole.

No the point of pirate is expecting people to be adults and not require spoon feeding. If some think that's being an asshole so be it, look elsewhere.

Gotta have thick skin for sure to post on Pirate lol

The culture of Pirate is that of a hardcore off road forum for sure. The expectation is that people know their shit, so that when somebody posts something it is highly advanced technical stuff. So there's really no room for beginner/rookies to ask questions.

But things get carried away too far at times lol

This x1000. Also search search search and search some more, after reading evrey related thread, THEN post. Shit ive been a member/lurking there since 1999 and i only have 600 posts, and 300 of those are in the for sale forum lol.

That place is actually tame now compared to 2000-2005 era.

Very true. Especially the brand specific sections.

I think it is because the focus for the past several years has been on KOH ultra 4 type of rigs. Look at the vehicle classifieds section on Pirate. At times it seems like every other rig for sale is an ultra 4 race car, the super mega expensive over the top stuff.

It's really a whole different league and a lot of people are actually into that stuff. I guess people don't care as much anymore about the brand specific builds.

That place, along with a bunch of other forums, has turned into how much money you can spend and the tech has went down the toilet. Yea a picture of $900 40 spline stub shafts look cool, but the old days of building shit out of junk yard parts was far cooler i think. The ammount of money being dropped into trail rigs is insane on there, if i see ultra 4 in the title i dont even bother clicking on it anymore.

The mini truck forum has had a small resurgance of budget trail rig builds which has been refreshing.

Exactly. Over the top builds are all over the place.

I'm getting started with mine. It's a combination of junk yard parts and some new parts :D

    haha, lol.

It's funny how people always post based on parts they wish they had, or how the wish they did things to begin with. It's all projection :D

    lmol!!

Actually, I took your advise seriously and ended up with an atlas :D Trying to get the taco box never worked out, and after reading your posts and other people posting about about the many headaches with those things I decided to bite the bullet with the atlas. It was pretty much the same amount of money....just a lot bigger and heavier lol
