not what i'm say'n at all

you know wiring and plumbing right ? figure out where you want to mount the pump, use similar or slightly larger wire to make pump work, figure out where your tank and hose routing needs to be, the solenoids for the locker(s) and any other outlets you want/need.

most of the install is the pre planning. the rest is just doing it.

Is it going to be right the first time ? probably not, none of it ever is. just like everything else on our junk

I've got a manga flow 14" on mine. Our trucks have 4 catalytic converters so a more aggressive muffler still isn't that loud.

off the Friends of Uwharrie FB

Something I haven't seen a lot of talk about here is participating in work days at Uwharrie.

It is a good way to support your local ORV area, and you become part of the bigger picture in maintaining the trail system.

NO< I personally have not done this in over 10 years, I also haven't been to Uwharrie in that time.

When I was actively wheeling I participated in many work days, and was part of the group that allowed " Soup Bowl" to to remain. It was the one place where there was minimal impact on other parts of the trail system. in that time there were many other mud holes and other scab trails closed and filled in.

The rangers DO listen and try to do what they can, powers higher than they prevent a lot of things from happening, and cause a lot of others. its a lot of bureaucratic crap unfortunately

Any help offered IS TAX DEDUCTIBLE, including use of vehicle ( including mileage to and from ) tools used, and equipment purchased ( within reason and having verifiable cause ) more info is available, I'm sure things have changed a little bit since my last time doing this.

    something to consider

workdays are generally 3rd weekend every month, occasional added one, and some in the off season

One of the perks is you get to ride for free that day after the work is done (usually by 1-2pm sometimes earlier depending on turnout ) and camping is also gratis at Arrowhead ( not sure how that works as you need reservations )

Volunteer hours and equipment brings added $$$ into the forest coffers the next budget year, offsetting some of the funds that are continually lost every year.

One thing, you are not (legally) allowed to operate a chainsaw in the forest without having a USFS training certification, a class which they do have once in awhile. I've been thru it, and let me tell ya, you'll learn a few things you thought you knew.
watching the Rangers operate a chainsaw is like watching a ballet, pretty impressive.

Ive missed going, i may try to make some later this summer or fall.

Just picked my son up one of these from Walmart. Expensive but pretty cool. Use it to haul all of his and my wife's stuff to the pool or beach20160612_170154.jpg
