Always do it out of the sun. It's been pretty brutal here the last few days.

Then installed @Mobtown Offroad bed bars under the factory tonaeu. Not sure how well the seal is. Looks like it would be better with thinner side bed caps. Any plans to make any mobtown?

I installed a 3rd Brake Light (CHMSL) pulsing module because sometimes folks down here in SoFla don't know how to drive. As soon as I can I'll take a video of how the CHMSL pulses now, the one I installed is the only one that's 50 state legal.

MBRP has a full bed length catback on their site. I wanted it dumped, so I bought the dumped one. The full length is significantly more expensive though.

Looks like you both have your trucks lifted... How was the mileage before the lift?

I get 21 average per tank... I see 30 average sometimes per trip... But it always averages to 21 point something per tank by the time i need gas again. I have seen 99.9mpg when i reset the current average going down a big hill and just let go of the gas and coasted.

Not really related but I'm one of those that gets gas once the gas light comes on... Nearly every time.

I have heard it's better to burn up the gas in the tank before filling up and have also heard it's better to never let your gas get too low...

Not sure which if either is actually correct, i never bothered to Google and read up on it. I could do that.... But it's more interesting to ask tacoma world what you guys think ???

    :)

This page has some info... http://www.pulseprotects.com/faq/

Seems you cant just order it off the internet and have to go through a dealership to get it installed. Also doesnt list a real price, but says it adds about 5 bucks a month to your monthly payments... Not sure how true that is, but if so... That could be 300 bucks or so in the long run with a 5 year loan... Not sure id pay 300 for my brake light to "pulse" 4 times... But then again im poor LOL

That's ridiculous, it's a simple resistor pack. OK I'll have a look for one I can install myself.

*Edit* Ordered this just now, will give it a try.

Looks nice! How do those brackets mount under the trifold? I have the trifold too and am looking for a dune whip antenna mount for behind the cab that will work with the trifold. If one of those brackets had a 90 degree bend at the top it would make a good trifold compatible dune whip, cb antenna, reverse light ect mount.
Just saying if that ever happened I would totally buy 4 for all those things I just said.

I know I have seen it in the 2nd gen threads but I didn't find anything but a post or two about it in the 3rd gens. I was walking behind my truck and realized that the bed looks like it is crooked. Like it has be pushed all the way to the drivers side. The body line is nice and smooth on the drivers side, and the bed sits about an inch inside on the other. Anyone else seeing this?

During hurricane season (which started this month) I'm planning to keep the tank at least half full at any given time. It makes for a lot of extra fill-ups, but I cringe at the thought of having to wait in a long line for gas when it's time to evacuate.

The Fed ex guy placed my step bars right in front of my weekend tile project. I tried to convince the wife that I should get the bars on first to make more room for the tile. She pointed out that I should get the tile out of the way to open the box
