Anyone know of any good places to wheel in Humboldt county? I'm up here for the next week and looking to see what's out here.

Played around in the dunes just outside the Tri-Cities airport in Pasco. Even though I have the TRD Off Road package, the Taco did fail where my old Dakota 4x4 excelled. It was a long, sandy hill that the 'Koda was able to get up on the first try in 4H. A few things that I think contributed to it: The 'koda was a few hundred pounds heavier and had better tires (Wild Country XTX). Anyone else have experience with the OR's and sand?G0054360.jpg GOPR4309.jpg GOPR4342.jpg GOPR4345.jpg GOPR4348.jpg GOPR4380.jpg

Exactly. Running low pressure on sand makes all the difference in the world.

Thanks. We should be hitting pioneertown, giant rock, and the outdoor sculpture museum up around the Landers area. It's not a lot of off road except for giant rock, but we are towing a few couches up there first so we won't start until around 1 or 2 pm...

Went to a place about 40 minutes from the house called Down South Offroad. This is my first Taco, 4x4 and first time wheeling. Had such a great time!!!! Took it pretty easy and most of what we did I'm sure most 2wd trucks could have went through. However we did hit some muddy, sandy, uphill stuff that I was glad to have 4x4. Cant wait to get some good tires on this thing and hit some of the harder stuff.

Here's my "navigator". We had to stop so Sparks could play in the "sand storm"

This was at the end of the day before we left. I took my go-pro but the damn thing would only record 15 seconds at a time. Its been about a year since I've used it.

20160612_190922.jpg first time taking the truck on a few trails in TN. Got a chance to test out crawl control. Won't lie, that sound freaked me out a bit.

Went up Mamquam fsr and Raffuse Creek branch in Squamish. Took it nice and easy going up Raffuse, got to a spot with really loose medium sized rocks and felt slippage so turned around at that point since I was on my own and really don't feel like screwing up anything! Pics from 9-mile bridge on Mamquam

these are a few of my favorites from the last few months. I am in north Idaho and north east washington. I climb towers so it takes me to some fun places. I really need better tires.
