    Hi everybody, I'm a new on here but not new on owning a Tacoma. Been trying to use the search bar for the passed week but can't seem to find my answer. Before I get to my question a little about me and my Tacomas. My name is Hubert and I'm fron NYC Queens to be exact and this is my second Tacoma in the last 4 years. Not new to the forum world and I'm well known on mbworld and benzworld.
    My first Tacoma was a 2013 TRD sport that I really liked(coming from a dodge Dakota) and after owning it for almost 3 years I was looking to go back to dodge 1500 or Ford F-150. Than I seen some spy photos or maybe even a commercial of the new Tacoma and I knew I will be getting it instead of the previously mentioned trucks :)
    I got my 2016 Tacoma sr5 access cab V6 auto back in October when they just started hitting dealers(eastcoast Toyota is the dealer I got it from) and I absolutely love it. Great people working at that Dealership(shoutout to Erick).
    Anyway the reason for this thread is to see if I can swap my sr5 headlights with the ones from a TRD model that have the LED strip on the side??? Is there any extra wiring required and did anybody do it yet? A picture thread with how to remove and swap the headlights would be helpful. Already purchased the headlight wth led strip but need some confirmation that this will work before I start disassemble the front. While at it I also got a trd grill that I will replace:).
    I also hooked up this Tacoma a little already with 18" Fuel Vector wheels with Nitto terra grapplers, HID in headlights and morimoto led fogs, Truxedo lopro bed cover, AVS black headlight and taillight covers and AVS in channel visors.

    Can't help you on your question, but I thought I'd pop in and say I'm also from MBWorld, and BenzWorld as well as PeachParts.

    Someone here did do that and I read about it weeks ago but I don't recall who. I thought I found it through a BLHM thread somewhere.

    I'm on there as Hubert on mbworld and benzofour30 on Benz world now mostly on the G forums.
    Hope I find some info on the headlights as they in my garage waiting to be installed...

    From what i have read the led strip will have to be spliced in to your halogen daytime wires somehow, i can take a pic of the wiring to and from my lights to see if yours compare. There are also companies online and in most major cities that will disassemble headlights install whatever you want and make them plug/play. There is a member who got switchbacks installed for the led strip and angel eyes around the projector plus a remote to change the angel/led strip color/colors and blacked out bezels etc. Anything is possible$$$

    You have to have a post about trans fluid or TRD Pro wheels to get an answer here.

    I'm Mike-81-240D on all 3 sites. Currently on my 4th W123, I've had my 1981 300TD for going on 4 years now. What year G do you have? I'd love a 85ish grey market 280GE someday.

    You win.

    There is one extra plug just for the led strip, I already bought the Headlights and was hoping that Toyota just left it unplugged and it's a simple swap.
    I have to make a trip to the dealer some scary stuff. My taco was one of the first batches but so far haven't experienced any problems.

    Mine is a 2014 G63, its actually on the way back from Brabus in California. Had some serious goodies installed
    Can't find any related info on here(will keep trying)

    The extra harness that runs to the DRL strip has 3 wires(your truck did not come equipped with the wiring connector) you will need to splice into the connector and run the wires as follow;
    white with black stripe=ground
    red=12V power (will light up bright-daytime)
    green=12V power(will light up dim-night)
    Red and green could be backwards, going off memory.
