    bump! lets see some more shells. I'm about to purchase my first shell. its white and I'm either gonna rattle can color match or vinyl wrap. definitely want to do a sleeping platform.

    Awesome set up. I may convert mine more towards yours so I can actually access all the stuff I have under my current platform. Mine is a single piece so easy in/out and weighs about 60 pounds.

    Well, I'm camping all the time! Mine is definitely light, but I may change it up for the accessibility the pvc platform offers. I also assembled the platform over a 6 pack with a buddy in less than 3 hours and about $120 in materials. Great stuff in this thread...makes me want to grab another taco to modify ; )

    To the guys who build sleeping platforms in the campers.. What do you sleep on for insulation? I was looking at those 3 inch mattress toppers, looks comfy and the queen size fits almost perfect into the 6 foot bed.
