Heavier guys drop weight way faster than lighters.

I wouldn't be concerned about a 5 lb week unless I was half my current weight.

Been eating well, way less carbs than normal, staying hydrated and not getting as many steps as I should.

Not sure how much water weight is accounted for, either. Could be 6 lbs!

It's all good :) I have the motivation to change things now, and I should have my card coming in the mail for my free gym membership through work. So come Monday or Tuesday I'll be able to get back at it the way I REALLY want to!

And WHEN I get to a better place than I am now, I promise I'll post my before/after pics for proof!

intake was 2700 calories today, ate breakfast around 3:30, lunch around 9:15 and then dinner was about 8:45.
Had a Clif bar for snack at 6:00, and then 2 Clif bars sometime between lunch and dinner.
    Gonna weigh tomorrow morning.

I also found out you can see your average sleep time on MFP (data is pulled from Fitbit) I average 334 minutes of sleep.

Went to the gym tonight walked did bike and some light weight high rep stuff on my good side. Pain was very much there when I left. Weighed on the way out 237. I have a feeling I'm gonna drop weight during this recovery buts it's gonna be the weight I don't want to drop. Good bye muscle growth

Got back camping yesterday afternoon. Overall did fairly well with eating while camping. It was traveling and bring tried from it that was bad as I ate like crap yesterday. I was down five pounds on Tuesday before leaving and now I'm only down 2.8 lbs. at least that's in the right direction.

Got up early and did a 5 mile hike at Helena City Park. We have an awesome park- 620 acres bordering the city and USFS land. Climbed Mt. Helena- about 1,250 ft to the summit from the parking lot (1.6mi) and then did a few connector loops back.

From the top of Mt. Helena (parking lot/trailhead circled)

Just for giggles I got back and weighed myself, even though I know it's mostly water loss, but God Damn it's official- I now weigh less than I did when I moved to Montana 6 years ago! 209.2 woot-hoot!!

I forgot to weigh yesterday morning (I remembered after I had eaten) so I weighed this morning, down 3 lbs so far, pretty happy with that for how I've been eating.

The wife and I (and our big boy Schnitzel the Wonder Dog) hiked 13 miles today. About 3,200 elev gain. My phone tracker says 31,753 steps, lol. Pretty good workout- excellent scenery.

The road below ends at a campsite/trailhead.

At the end of the trail you slide down a limestone chute to a ledge. we ate lunch there.

Sorry I've been MIA. No cell service where I was camping this weekend. Needless to say I doubt I stuck below my calories but I got some exercise and had some fun!

Props to all you guys! I went from ~220lbs down to my goal weight of 150 over the last year. There were weeks when I would drop 5lbs, and then weeks where I wouldn't drop anything, but at the end of the month you really start to see the difference and that is the ultimate motivator. Now I am just working to not put it all back on again, my biggest weakness is beer!!!!

Need to really hit the gym hard this week after this weekend. Ate pretty crappy and drank too much. Should have prepared food but instead I ate out with friends. I know by Friday I can make up for it but I really need to lay off of all the drinks and the eating out.

Like everything in life, this is 80-90% mental. Figure out your weaknesses and eliminate, reduce, replace. Sounds easy doesn't it?

Hey, did not mean not go. Eliminating life should not be a part of this, unless you are a meth-head, in which case over eating is not an issue. What I meant was, eating out is not killer, my family wants to eat out all the time to, just you have to make the choices better when going out. Again, definitely not easy, 'specially after a few cold ones.

I've noticed that whenever I went out to eat, my weight would shoot up a few lbs and then hold there for a while before coming back down. That was even when I thought I was watching what I eat. Applebees is a great example- got one of their low calorie meals and shot up several pounds. However I did snack on a few of my kids appetizers (fried green beans).

Then I looked up the macros- my meal and those appetizers was super, super high in sodium. I think the steak and green beans I had was like 2,000mg.

I'm really sensitive to sodium (we have hereditary hypertension in the family). Too much of that crap and I balloon out like a mofo.
