What is an average lifespan of a shock before they need to be rebuilt?

Someone shared with me Fox needs rebuilding every 10k regardless of driving habits...true or not true?

All depends on how you are using your shock/truck. I recall something along the lines of:
Every 1k miles if 100% Off Roading
    Every 10-20k miles if 50/50 off-roading/daily driver
Every 50k miles if 100% daily driver.
I am sure someone will chime in and correct me if I am not even close which is entirely possible as my memeory stinks. That reminds me, I need more ginkgo biloba.

This is a good service interval.

IMO for the average CO DD/weekend warrior 40K is a good number for a rebuild and to replace the lower bearings yearly regardless of mileage or if they develop any slop. Upper bearings as they wear out, which is about 60-80K depending on use.

I have them on my 2nd Gen, but no Fiberglass fenders. Let me know if its worth taking pic at lunch and what angle you want (Front, etc).

Isn't the 2nd gen the same as 1st? Just with a different wire to cut and ground?

Why do we not have a banner pic of a local Colorado truck/member?
All the cool regional threads have their own pics.
