What insurance company do you have?

Sounds like they don't do much of anything well.

I had a 2012 2.7 AC and now have a 2015 4.0 DCSB. I noticed no difference between the two as for as the Air is concerned. The 2012 was red and the 2015 is white.

R12 Freon worked great. I just don't think R134 performs as well.

You can get a dash cam on ebay for $15. But the cheap ones are junk, I know, I tried two on them.

The manual shows that the studs are bonded to the plastic cover and nuts under the bumper. Along with one clip. Looks like the body shop pulled a fast one and reused the original with putty to hold it together.

Yep that piece should clip/bolt down, not be glued down with epoxy.

That is also true, but as technology has advanced, R134a systems have gotten better.

My parents had a 2004 Honda Odyssey EX minivan that they bought brand new and had for exactly 9 years (A little over 130K miles at time we sold it). The front and rear A/C was always absolutely freezing and never once had to be serviced in 9 years!

The Taco blows cold, I am gauging this primarily off the fact that I can cut glass with the old nips if I keep it on the max setting.

Bought my '14 SR5 v6 new. A/C was really poor, then failed. Dealer found a bad fitting which was allowing the freon to get out.

Now the A/C is I'd say B-. It was really hot over the weekend here (90s, which feels super hot at 7000 ft elevation) but dry. Needed Max A/C with fan two notches open to keep my dog from panting.

My 2010 Matrix was similar. A/C just adequate. The '06 Tundra A/C was decent, but the all-time winner was my T100. It was rarely hot enough to keep it on continuously. It would freeze you. And I noticed absolutely no drag on the T100 engine with A/C. Not true for any vehicle I've owned since.

Agreed. They have had to increase the compressor and condenser capacity in order to compensate for the inefficiency of R134a over R12.

It's kind of too bad that we can't build A/C systems in vehicles and homes that are safe enough to run ammonia as the refrigerant. That stuff is the best at efficiency. I'm not in the HVAC field so I don't know much about it but big commercial and scientific cooling systems use this stuff. It's pretty poisonous in the pure state needed for refrigerant.

    Subjectively, my truck's A/C isn't great.

It's also a double cab, MGM, and spends all day in the summer Texas sun.

So no matter how good the A/C is, it needs to be better.

Pretty icy cold in my reg. cab! Then again, less area to cool.

Imagine if R12 was still used, potential to be even colder! :kona:

My 2002 Mustang had the coldest AC of any vehicle I ever owned, it had Black Leather inside and cooled off amazingly fast.
