Isn't Sisters more like Central than eastern?

 

Yeah but we've always said Eastern growing up....technically it's central Oregon high desert

 

I was there Saturday night, only saw one Tacoma while I was there..

 

Technically its western Oregon, although most call it central. Anything east of Post, Or (the geographical center of the state) is eastern. Just sayin'. I have a friend that calls John Day "central Oregon". Drives me nuts.

Bareback.. I used to ride that event.. Brutal... Let'me tell yah.

 

Man Oregon is beautiful! This thread makes me wanna come stay a while at least, if not live there.

 

I rode bulls for a bit, yanked some steers to the ground. Hard on the body. Bareback is like getting whiplash for 8 seconds straight!! My biological shithead father was 8th in the world riding bulls at one time until he got stepped on and almost bled to death. My cousin had a bull slam him on his back and the bull stomped on his left side of his face. It caved it in and his eye had to be fished out from back of his skull. He had 5 surgeries and still gets food stuck up below his ear because it's hollow in his mouth up to where his ear is. My aunt and uncle own a Rodeo company and it's fun to do but i've seen some shit.

 

I wouldn't trade it for anything. I have the beach, sand dunes, etc, an hour n 20 from me, the high desert 2 hours from me , rivers , lakes, snow, everything, and it's natural disaster free for the most part (i've been thru 3 earthquakes but nothing but crooked pictures on the wall). Love it here.

 

Oh yeah, I've seen some nasty things too. It's just not worth it IMO. I got hurt pretty bad a couple times, so decided it wasn't wise to continue on the buckaroo path.
Sounds like we have some stuff in common, including the shithead biological dads, mines a narcissistic sociopath. They're also not worth dealing with IMO.

 

I plan on doing some serious traveling in the hopefully not so distant future.. I def plan on making a long stop in Oregon.. It'd be nice to know some people.. Do some wheeling/exploring etc. I'm wanting to build a overland vehicle to live out of.

 

I'm 6'3 240, I'm not of the bullriding stature....my cousins, and buddies are all short bastards so they got it quite a bit easier. When I was younger I thought I was invincible and did alot of crazy shit. I was Jackass before Jackass was around. I played 3 sports right up to about 12 years ago. My knees, shoulders, back are all shot to shit. Getting up in the morning is a 10 minute ordeal to get joints working. I'm done with all the fun crazy shit.

You would love it here. Make your way up the coast and then over the mountain to Eastern/Central Oregon and visit breweries and shit. Stay for a couple weeks.....you'd dig it. And living out of an overland vehicle........WOULD BE TITS!!!
