It'd be cool to meet another first gen. owner. I heard you did the steering column tack weld mod. I've owned a few first gens and always wanted to try it, just didn't have the chance. I hate the slop in the wheel.

Yeah, he's the one who told me you did it. Did you notice an improvement? Was it a pain to get the steering column removed?

This Eagles Lake you speak of for the 4th. Is this just a day trip or a weekend trip?

Cool, thanks guys. It's my DD as well, so I'll def. need another hand (or at least a ride) if I were to pull it and weld it elsewhere. It'd be cool to get that done.

But more importantly, I finally got my shipping info today from All-Pro for my Expedition leaf springs. So, I should have everything for my lift by the end of the week. I might just try and get the coilovers swapped in the next few days, but with my truck bed squatting like it does, I'll have serious bro-lean until the leaves get here.

Anyone know a good place to get a cab mount chop done? I have the plates from Jerry but am no welder. I tried calling Hot Metal Fab but they don't answer the phone.
