Order one on Amazon or any other parts house. Dont half ass something on your truck. Rent a car if you have to in the mean time.

Try what i said, with ATF and acetone, then hit it with an impact.

Not all VINs are covered and with 400k+ miles they probably have been replaced before.

Yea I replaced upper and lower balljoints about 10 k ago and the inner and outer tierods. I have had those bolts out more times than I can count! as far as I'm concerned she's Drivable.
The way it's welded I Can drive to a store and get some kind of extractor and still go up through the holes to get them out.
So it might be welded but I Can still get the rest of the bolts in... Well if I Can get them out that is.

I'm not sure I'd rent a car. I couldn't even get there lol. I do have a 24' motorhome I could drive lol but with the 12" of snow I'm not sure if that would go over so well

Loctite is technically an anti seize since it seals the threads preventing corrosion. I would not recommend using anti seize and nothing else on these bolts.

I have discovered that the recall on this ball joint problem is ONLY for 4WD and 4-Runners. Has anyone with a 2x4 (like me) ALSO experienced this problem, and got it covered under the recall? 2004 Tacoma extracab 2WD20160610_182037.jpg

    OME and worth every penny.
I would have suggested getting new ones and then welding them. They'd prob. out last the truck then as long as you didn't cook the grease out of them.

I saw a ( previously) straight and clean 1st gen forerunner that was sitting in the street in my neighborhood for several days, with the fender and front bumper bent upward and laying on the wheel
looked like all 4 bolts broke backing out of the driveway , top and bottom ball joints still intact

I would get the advice of a certified welder first
not all steel is weldable if the carbon content is too high, ( as i suspect front end steering parts would be )
    jus sayin
