Man that's a good looking truck and my favorite Toyota wheels. And the pup tops it off.

Hey Dropitmore - Nice, looks like mine, haha, good taste!! What tires are you running? Mine are still stock Bridgestones but anticipating better tires.

Lol thanks, we got good taste! I'm running 265/70/17 BFG KO2s. A lot better than the Nitto trail grapplers I had previously, just not as aggressive looking. I'm happy with them.

Hey Andy; I'm looking at both those tires for my truck. I'm going to stay stock size 265/65/17 because with my horse trailer, I need all the power I can get. Even up one size will give a higher gearing. What didn't you like about the Nittos? Both seem to be top rated and heavy duty, especially off road, and on gravel and rocks. Do you find the E rating to be too stiff for everyday driving? My third choice is a duratrac because I can get it in SL which might be a bit more forgiving for everyday driving. Can't decide!!

I did like the Nitto Trail Grapplers but they were mud terrain tires, not really functional for my day to day commute. They were surprisingly quiet for mud tires and I always got compliments due to the aggressive tread.

The BFG KO2s are awesome. Quieter on the road and perfect for most situations I encounter. Plus they are the nicest AT tread pattern I've seen. Can't complain.

Thanks! The BFG's are classic on Toyota 4X4's, as well, and have a kind of retro vibe to them. They're probably what I will go with. I don't want anything too noisy. My truck is my only vehicle and a daily driver.

I just had Goodyear wrangler duratracs, ......probably the best AT tire I've had to date. Very quiet, excellent in snow and rain, and were holding up exceptionally as far as durability. I sold my wheel set up and should have my new ones in a couple weeks. This time around I wanted to go with something different so I'm going with Cooper Maxx ST. I read great reviews so we'll see.....

Also, to answer your other question. E rating might be a little too harsh for regular commuting, only reason I got them was because I was able to buy them for the same price as the c rating, so I said why not. But it's nice to know these things will handle the toughest off road terrains when I hit trails.

Nice looking truck! Why does the area circled in red look like that?

It's the TRD skid plate. I sprayed it with Bedliner. The angle of the picture shows the gap. It does look kinda funny.

Hey folks. I'd like to ask you guys a question regarding the TRD Pro suspension. I'm leaning toward installing the TRD Pro suspension with the HeadStrong 3 leaf AAL. I want to leave the factory overload in place. From what I've read, the Pro suspension should raise the front by about 1.75 inches, and the 3 leaf AAL with overload should raise the rear by about 2 inches. I'll be just fine with ~0.25 inch increase in rake over the stock off-road suspension. My question is this. Will I need to install extended brake lines in the rear with the above setup? I'm sorry if this is a dumb question! Thanks.

Not a dumb question at all. That what this site is for. I have a BAJA, which pretty much is the same thing. I put on a ICON progressive AAL which is a 3 leaf small pack so I am assuming it is the same thing. When I added it, I left out the overload. The BAJA and the PRO comes stock with a 1.75 lift in front you are correct....and no lift in back. This leaves it sitting level. I like a little rake and knew that leaving the overload in would be way too much. So as my truck sits now...14 BAJA/PRO suspension with ICON progressive AAL in back no overload. 38" front tire to center wheel well 39" back tire to center wheel well......but yeah if you want it higher than that in the back sure you can leave in the overload and wont need extended lines. Those you don't need until you hit the 3" mark.

Hey guys I have a double cab pretunner, do you think a leveling kit in the front and stock in the back will be enough for 265/70/17 trail grapplers

No problem. In my post above I gave you measurements of my truck showing my rear 1 inch higher....which it is. Tires are 285/70/17. Not sure if you can see the rake, but it's there.

I'm seriously debating on getting that one inch toytec baja/pro spacer.

I really want to level the front with the rear. I got that rake as well.

    Anyone install it yet?

Nice looking truck!! Those wheels look awesome on that truck.....something with that color. I've been saying I'm gonna do it....and I am. I just keep spending money on other stuff. I like the rake and will probably want to keep that look so when I go to add the 1" spacer I'll put the overload back into my rear springs.
