I keep telling her it's the same thing as the Hondas we already have, just bigger!

Been riding the bike a lot more lately now that it has finally stopped raining almost every day.

Swapped in some Motul 10w-40 synthetic the other day and shifting feels smoother so far. We'll see if it lasts.
Pushing nearly 4500 miles on it, which isn't too bad I guess considering it sat in storage for 7 months out of the past 2 years that I've had it.
Also changed up the fuel map today. Cruises smoother, accelerates about the same, but had more backfiring when decelerating. I'll play with it some more eventually.

I think the bike's here to stay for now. No WR450 in my future anytime soon. Will be moving soon to a place with a ton more exploring to do.

Might be typical for just a standard tune. But it's waste of gas and the stage 1 settings that Electronic Jet Kit has on their site would cause my bike to backfire so bad that it killed my bike twice haha

So I tend to stay away from tunes that cause a lot of popping. Will probably lower the idle setting a bit to see if it'll go away. My settings I had prior had little to no popping but didn't cruise as smoothly as this does. I like the sound, but don't really want my bike dying in a corner again.
He was wanting to buy mine when I jump to a 450, but now I'm keeping mine and moving so now he's looking around again. Keep telling him to get a WR250R.

Going lean on decel will cause popping too from pulling in oxygen. Like I said I wouldn't worry unless it's killing the bike.

Yes. Wr250r is just about the most expensive one though.... I'd want the newer models because fuel injection is a blessing.

    And a curse.

Notice 2 years later Brent is still fucking with his tuner's fuel maps?

Jets in a carb are no easier but less expensive when you do them yourself

I've been messing with carbs for years. I'm done with them. If you leave your injection stock, then there's no problems

Uhm, let me correct you on something. I don't NEED to adjust my fuel map. My previous settings were just fine. I just happened to see some new settings that somebody said worked amazing on their bike and I wanted to try it out. The only better thing about the new settings is how it feels at idle/cruise. This is all butt dyno.

Don't be jealous that I can change my tuning setting in less than a minute. I'm just trying to get as much power out of this thing as I can haha

I like that I can change jetting without having to have a map made and overall it's cheaper. But it can be a pain. FI is nice that it self adjusts and can be as easy as loading a map but costs more up front. I'd take FI if I had the choice though.

Ask yourself this, how stock is your truck?

You won't leave a bike stock.

Have I modified the injection mapping or tuned my truck? Not as of the last time I checked.
