Finished my front light bar setup. Might add some 4"-7" round HIDs/Leds by A pillar/hood.

Does the fab shop have any of these brackets left? Also, how is the wind noise with the bar at this position?

Wind noise was something i NEVER considered when i planned to do this set up and at first it was BAAAAD. It sounded like a harmonica between 30 and 80 mph and it WAS LOUD! so i did some research and ended up getting those rubber door trim pieces some people put on the edges of their doors to prevent parking lot dings. Most auto parts stores sell rolls of them for $9- $20. Or if you look hard enough you can find cardboard packages, similar looking to a wiper blage package, with 2 strips about 2' long for under $5. I got those ones and cut them into 3" strips and placed them on the edges of both sides of the rows of flanges from about half way and down to the bottom row. Some say 1-3 rows is fine but i decided to just use the material til it was gone. It is like 95% better, no more resonance, no more harmonica, all that is left is a slight wind noise you can barely notice most of the the time. I can check and see if there is any more for you.

So you put the rubber molding on the back of the bar on the "louvers"? Yeah, please check for me, how much were they?

Yea, the rubber really helped. Sorry for the delay we were getting everything set for the trail. We just got back from doing the Mojave Trail through the desert. I left him a message about 20 minutes ago and am currently waiting for him to call me back. I will PM you when i hear back from him. When i got mine from him i was paying for a few other things as well so i am not 100% sure but i think they somewhere between $100-$150.

Can anyone suggest a good aftermarket led light bar that will fit in the 20" light bar cut out on a Pelfreybilt front plate bumper for a 2015 tacoma?

Someone asked the same a while back. I suggested a single row with 10watt leds. Either vision x or Baja designs. Or a clone of those if you're On a budget.

    Here's one I have. Awesome 3d output.
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/272156214485

There's also a 4d spot version with 15watt leds. Can't seem to find that one atm.

That's pretty sick looking actually. Wasn't a fan of the bd types with Amber ends. But used for dtrl along with your Amber pods.. Looks dope!

not for DTRL.. those are the Halos. The Ambers will be used as intended (fog/dust) The pods have already been used in fog and dust.

    Thanks man.

Lifetime Led. I have a set on the back and front.

Well, that's what I'd be using them for. Ha. Using some small rigid srq diffused ambers as dtrl's. In my experience the smaller Amber lights like that and pods are just too small to be very effective in the situations they were designed for. Might be good with the added ends on top in combo with the pods tho. But I pretty much never have fog, but do some dust with crazy haboobs here where I'm at. So I've opted to use them to make myself more visible during the day, or going through dust storms. Then they get turned off at night when my headlights are switched on. Anyways... I still think your setup looks nice mang. And would think you could run those during the day without hassle If you wanted to.

agreed... and totally understand. I'm in South Chandler/Gilbert so we get the Haboobs as well. lol all of the ambers will be used during the dust storms. lol

the combo of having the flood pods, and spot in the bar.. were my intentions. I did a lot of planning on this setup. from the bar/pod type, to placements, and even the custom aluminum light bar mounts for the 42" lol. The floods are angled out for ditch lights most of the time, and work great when camping and running on the trials to camp. I can turn them straight for more amber out front.. and Im thinking the spots will fill the distance quite nicely. plus the fact that all the lights have white and amber.. should be covered in all situations.

Is that a bd clone btw? 10watt leds? If so, interested in seeing some output shots :)

Edit. And didn't even notice you were in chandler! I'm on the outskirts of Maricopa. Nothing but desert around here. Nothing to help block it so we get the fulllllll blast. Heh. Not like it's much easier in town though. But it gets so bad here you literally can't see past your hood. You gotta pull over and just feel for the curb till it lets up. And hope no one rear ends u.

yessir. and definitely will be reporting back. I'm interested to see what it can do out away from the city lights. aimed down my street.. filled with street lights and everything, it reached out and easily touched the last house 1k+ feet away.

I want to put an led light bar on my 2016 Tacoma roof, and I have bought two different 40" led light bars that have not fit because they were too small to reach both sides of the rubber tabs that you lift up to mount the brackets in place on the roof. Does anyone know an affordable led light bar that will fit on the 2016 Tacoma roof? I'm not too knowledged on types of lights. Any info leading me to an affordable light bar that will fit would be seriously appreciated. Thank you!!
