I listened to my truck make a neat sound driving to work coming from the passenger side. Ta ta ta ta or da da da da. Increases with speed so it's related to something rotating. It doesn't sound like the grinding you get from a shot baring. There is no obvious leaking from the CV boots but I'm thinking the CV is going is bad. Anyone else have any ideas other than CV?

Yeah, have to remove the section where the hinge sets on the bracket. If you look through my posts you can find the CBI bracket topic and see how I modified the bracket. I think someone else made a similar cuts to theirs though removed a lot more metal.

Once it starts blowing hot again and I go in, then it will be covered under the warranty. But according to both the dealership and corporate, the diagnostic fee can be charged to have it looked at. I called all my local dealers and they all said the same thing.

However, the dealership that I bought the truck from only charges $105 for it where the dealership that is actually in my town charges $204 for it.

Those were my words exactly when I got home.

This is how they arrived though... no fault of Pelfrey and just goes to show they they are very well built, but just continues to make me dislike FedEx even more... my UPS guy knows I will meet him at the curb to get truck parts so he doesn't have to carry them, Fedex just throws crap on my front porch.

Mid Skid was behind that box and just as bad. I can't believe that the hardware didn't get lost through that black hole on the IFS Skid box.

I had a bumper to bumper warranty where the deductible was half of what it would have been at other dealerships if I took it to the original dealer when I bought the 08. Maybe it's something like that. Never used it tho.

Installed a ballert!ts shift knob from Speedawg.com. Stock shifter was far too phallic for my liking.0602161753b.jpg 0602161753.jpg

these look to be facing the correct direction on this side on the truck. yes some manufacturers will probably say different things. curious if the other side of your vehicle rotor face the same way(slot at outer diameter contacts pads first)? if not and both rotors are exactly the same then that's why they say they can face either direction, its cheaper for them to machine a single pattern rotor than to make a 'left' and 'right' side version. I machined Brembo rotors for a number of years and they have a separate pattern for 'left' and 'right' so the slot or cross-drilled pattern rotate the same. think of it as directional tire tread(opposing patterns for left or right) vs unidirectional tire tread(same rotor on either side)
