Going to pick up some metal cutting blades for my rotozip. I was just curious if anyone has had to cut thru this part from tire rubbing...?

Look up Toyota Tacoma Cab Mount Chop. Many people have to cut that part to be able to clear 33" and up tires from rubbing that spot. Best is using a cutoff wheel on your grinder. A few companies like BAMF and Pelfreybilt make plates that are CNC cut out to weld back over it to make it look factory.

It's not something I'll be looking at. Just wondering if was safe and I won't be damaging whatever this bolt is... if I left the metal part open after cutting

Just remember to paint where you cut because it will rust otherwise.

Lol gonna wait for my buddy to come over and help me, I scratched a bit under while half way thru the metal part... it's bound to get beat up there anyway with no mud flaps and nothing a little sand paper can't smooth out.
