So this other dealer is willing to hold a 4Runner for 3+ weeks (which they could sell in the meantime) while you wait for this "check" from Toyota?

This is true on both counts, but the OP is a fuckwagon. He should actually thank us because from replying to this thread his posts have gotten much more legible and he can get his point across now. It's like a crash course hooked on Phonics!!! :D

In WI dealers will accept deposits, but if an interested party wants the vehicle they can give you X amount of time (24hrs or whatever) to square away financing. Otherwise they will let other party purchase.

I called the dealer after i found out how long it would be, and the guy asked the store owner, and told me they would keep the vehicle for as long as it takes, because i am dealing with toyota on a buyback, they are also going to contact toyota and see if i can drop the truck off at their delaer so they can have the 4runner ready and i can take it that day instead of waiting, or take an uber from dealer to another.

I feel like you shouldn't disclose any information, and it should be in writing presented by Toyota. The whole point, like you said, is to cover their ass. They don't want to keep one customer happy, they have millions a year. They want to keep this information that could potentially discourage other people from purchasing. You already bought a truck from them. If they lose one future customer, they don't care, they're a business tyrant that doesn't need government bailout (oh yeah, found a way to add GM shots into this). I think that is where most of the thread skeptics come from. Besides the whole off roading ordeal.

I feel upon the buy back when you get the check they're going to present you a document basically saying don't talk about this. Well, it's a little too late for that now isn't it?

Toyota had their hand in the cookie jar too, to the tune of billions of tax payer dollars.

Not to mention if a manufacture in the state of florida( i dont know about other states it may be the same everywhere) if you have a lemon law case and the customer wins, the Natinal Highway Administration investigates other tacomas ( in this case) to see if there is a recall needed, and Toyota would have fines along with investigations into the dealerships

Yeah always funny to hear Ford guys say they "didn't" get a bailout, which technically they didn't, instead they got a massive "loan" with the stipulation they build some mass marketed overpriced hybrid cars. And we wonder why the average person can't stand politics, much less alone politicians.

Yea but only for 2005-2011 tacomas for rusty leaf springs. They have the 3 pack not the 4 pack, some idiot at toyota thought it would fit and fix mine, but was way wrong.

I know the OP said he put a deposit on it. He's said a lot of things for months on both threads. If you choose to go with this new twist on this fantastic tale, that's your choice.

I'm pretty sure it was for sagging or breaking springs... Not rust. SMH the rust recall is frames...
