I guess in Wisconsin we have collector plates and you can only put them on an older car. As for all states being socialist Amen to that!

That's what I am basically saying. Just keep them for the cars in the years they fall in.

Looking at your states Wisconsin plates from the past, there is some cool history to the colors as well.

On the subject of plates.. I wish they required proof of military service to get a military or veterans plate.

They require proof for a purple heart plate. But for an army plate you just pay the fee and walk out with it. At least that's how it worked when i got mine.

Really, you would think that would be a requirement for all states. Considering the hoops the DVM put you through. At least the purple heart ones are required. By dad has my GPs heart on his desk at home.

I think I murdered the environment prepping and painting my sliders. Stoked on the outcome, so it was worth it. I plan to install them in the next few days... hopefully before the weekend.

Texas requires disabled vets to simply bring a copy of the annual disability award letter. Depending on percentage, you can get regular DV plates or handicapped DV plates (which are free on most toll roads). You also get "VETERAN" in bold red on your driver's license.

I think i successfully made a "build page". Take a look if you're interested. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/louies-build-2016-trd-off-road-double-cab.417631/
Dude.... i'm with you. Everytime i step on the gas and nothing happens i miss my 2013 Tacoma. 2016 is nice. But the Gen 2.5 (2012-2015) was badass.

They should do that here too, everywhere really.

I had to show my dd214 at the dmv to get the veteran endorsement on my license. But it is just a blue V on the side of it...

Now I'm wondering if maybe they seen that when i got the plate and that's why they didn't ask for proof...

California used to issue Veteran plates but people were getting them who were in fact not Veterans, I mean if only we had some sort of document to prove that were Vets? Maybe we'd call it a DD-214 if we did!?

Anyway now CA issues those "Honoring Veterans" plates and everyone is eligible to get them.

    Got to love Kommiefornia!
