Negotiate the price first. Then money factor and down. I think it might be a stretch getting it for 0 down but stranger things have happened.

Launch21v: I'm not sure, I believe we had to still pay the sales tax which I'm thinking was pretty pricey. If you want me to be honest with you, my mom and dad bought it back in March for my 16th birthday, I will ask them.

Well if they bought it for you then you probably got the best deal I've seen on here. They paid pretty much sticker price. Not a great deal but it sounds like they can afford it. Congrats on the new truck.

Looking at a DCSB TRD Sport with Tow package at 35,894 MSRP Priced at 33,220. About 35,800 out the door. What do you guys think? Not really having luck getting them down any further.

I don't really think it is that bad. I might try calling other dealerships and asking if they could beat their price. Although, If I were you I would just buy it because it isn't priced bad at all. Trust me I had to wait around a month or two for mine to get here because it had to be ordered and I was very anxious. I just looked at a nearby Toyota and it had a sport double cab that had its MSRP priced at $34,000 before taxes and stuff

That's not a bad deal then. If you like the truck jump on it.

First time post and first time (soon-to-be) Tacoma owner. I am waiting (from the factory) with a $500 deposit for a 2016 MGM TRD Sport 4x4 DCSB with JBL audio, tanneau cover, tow package, sill plates and floor liners (didn't want) (MSRP 39,573) and I purchased for $35,829 (included $750 off for graduate school credit) + tax & tags. Seemed like a good deal to me but waiting for it to be built is the difficult part.

Dang! This was exactly what mine was, and they even put them stupid carpet floor mats in their and charged $200 and I got husky floor liners for only $175. I had to wait a month or two on mine, but you made a fine choice in vehicle, you won't be disappointed! The sport is my favorite with the hood scoop, it makes hen look a heck of a lot better

Does the $500 deposit go towards the cost of the truck? Also, did you let them know you were a graduate student up front or did you throw that in at the end so they wouldn't inflate the OTD price? (I'm in the same situation).

The $500 goes towards the purchase price but it just holds the truck for you. So in my situation I had my own financing so they would have given me back my $500 if I chose to do 100% financing. The student or military discount comes into play during the financing process if you go through Toyota for financing.

Yes it will go towards the truck, but if you decide not to get it then they will not refund you (or the one we ordered mine from said they wouldn't). And I don't know anything about the student thing, my parents bought it for me and surprised me so I wasn't there when they bought it
