Have a 2016 OR and a super annoying squeak. I know earlier gens had issues but has anyone had this experience in their new 3G? I have it in the dealer now for the second time and am hoping they will pull and replace the spring packs. I have 5k on the clock and the only off road has been scouting for elk driving gravel roads in the coast range. Very annoying when rolling through the forest in the early am.

Can't buy that it's normal. I've owned 3 different 4Runners, Jeep CJs and Superduty trucks which all had leafs. Only one of those squeaked and it was an 88 4Runner that I put an add-a-leaf in. For almost 40k for a sticker prices I expect these trucks to be squeak and rattle free.

My 2016 OR had the same leaf spring squeak around 5k. Took it in for my 5k service and asked about it. They ordered new ones and replaced them for free under warranty. Just hit 11k and the squeak hasn't returned.

Try some MX chain lube (Maxima) on squeaky leaf areas . Friend of mine had the squeak on his Tundra and he uses this every few months or so and works like a charm. We go to the desert often and he sprays them each time we go out.

I'm having my right rear leaf springs replaced next week. Same issue - started squeaking.

You probably got enough dust in the leafs to cause them to squeak. It's just excessive and wasteful to have brand new leafs installed that are likely structurally identical but won't squeak because they are clean and new.

They cleaned mine with pressure washer and used penetrating grease. It worked for 3 or 4 days. They claim it was from taking my truck off road (a TRD Off Road)

Excessive and wasteful is the time I have spent taking it back to the dealer for an issue that existed in prior generations. If hadn't bought it new I'd probably just clean and lube them up but since it's less than 4 months old every single issue will be addressed by the dealer.

Ny 3rd gen was having a bad sqeak in the front right suspensio, turned out to be a cracked bushing causing rubbing against the frame.

Mine started squeaking right before my 20K mile service. Hopefully you guys don't have the same luck. And for what it's worth, mine has not been off-road. I'm going to look for some different methods of lubricating them for the future since this seems to be a common problem.

My rear leafs also started squeaking around 4500 miles...took it in to the dealer for the 5k service, and asked them to fix the noise and some other things. At 10k now, and not a peep since.
