I have a 1999 Tacoma Prerunner 2.7L automatic. Looking to upgrade the suspension for a decent trail blazer (not prerunner) style truck. I can't decide between a stage 2 icon suspension kit (UCAs, OEM coils, and OEM bypasses) or King OEM coils and a 14 inch King bypass on stock leafs. (My buddy makes a shock mount for 14s without cutting into the bed). I would be running a 285/75r16 with these. Help with the pros and cons need to make my decision soon. Also will do fiberglass fenders and pulled besides with custom front and rear bumper.

I would definitely go King over Icon all day. Their customer service is second to none. I would be interested in that 14" shock mount that requires no bed cutting. Can you give me some info on that? I am sure it is not 1st gen specific.

I only considered icon because of the UCAs being included. And follow me on Instagram and I'll guide you in the right direction. cam.diebolt

Which are the UCA's of theirs that it includes? The problem which I know of with Icon is that they use proprietary size uniballs, so when it comes time to replace them, you can't just go buy an off the shelf FK uniball. You HAVE to buy Icon's uni at an inflated price.

Pretty sure it's the uniball but most kits like that do the same thing. Like Camburg.

Not everything needs to be LT dude. Gonna need clearance for 33s. Those 14 inch mounts with stock leafs work better than you think.

Dont need glass to clear 33s.

Id like to see pics of that setup. Thats a huge shock to fit under the bed even outside the frame rails. Dont think the stock leafs can take advantage of much of that travel.
