Good Morning everyone , Happy middle of the week to ya !!!

In about an hour or so I'm headed to my local VA and at the F clinic ( pain clinic ) for a follow up from.last months knee injection . Hopefully they can figure out what's going on

One thing I like about morning visits there is the good breakfast they serve in the canteen

 

Hope they have better news for you.

The next step I believe is for them to do a PRP injection into the Medial side of the knee . A PRP or ( Platelet rich Plasma ) is a standard injection for athlete's . They draw blood from me then place in a centrifuge to get the platelet rich plasma . Then re inject this back into my MCL

 

Maybe a few weeks from today's visit

 

A favorite staple of any Military Veteran is SOS or **** on a shingle better known as creamed beef on toast ...... yummy !!! . I also get a nice greasy Western omelette , side of sausage , morning fries , toast and bottle of water

 

My Dad used to make us eat SOS every once and a while, it reminded him of his Army days...great. Not that it was bad, it was that the war stories would start.

 

I'm with ya EXCEPT for the "favorite" part..... Not so sure I'm inclined to think of it in those terms....

Truck passed inspection, if barely. Front pads are almost shot, gonna have to do a brake job before pulling the camper this summer.

Quote for new tires (Firestone Destination AT) was $900! Ouch.

My Ranger went through 5 windshields, it's a truck thing

 

First on this truck in 140k, the last truck had 3 windshields in 90k, including a big rock that ended up IN the truck

 

Just got back from the VA , the pain management doctor believes my knee is packed with scar tissue . The area around the MCL especially a 35 yr old meniscus surgery scar looks to be trapping itself against the prosthetic joint causing pain

Will have scar reducing injection done in early August then if no change then will have the PRP done


Getting old sucks !!!!
