Lol these are standard jacking points for the truck. Frankly though, when lifting the front I jack from the lca so I can lift higher without needing as much jack height. Same goes for the rear, I jack by my spring perches. Your stock jack should still work fine on pavement even with 33's and this method.

 

doesn't it slide a bit when jacking from the LCA mike? Id say it might put stress on it since its pressure in a spot that normally doesn't get pressure but at the same time itd just be like it sitting on a rock... Minor dent at most I guess

 

Never slides when I use a floor jack on LCA

Your lca's are a lot beefier than you think. Really the only weak part of the lca is where the cams are, the rest can take a beating. A jack won't dent the lca and no it shouldn't slide as long as you center the jack. Idk how it looks on second gen's but first gen's have like three studs on the bottom that makes it easier to get a good grip on the bottom.

@Yamaha_TacoR1 I ordered 4x sliders so I guess I would recommend the same, not sure of lead time for dclb

 

Ours are flat as fuck and with any amount of lift are angled and wouldn't be able to be used as a jack point atleast not until the truck is already in the air on jack stands

Unless you have 40's you can use the factory jack. And what exactly is the difference between pipe and tube? They're both a cylindrical extrusion are they not??

 

Generally wall thickness and metal type.

This is good to know. I've considered jacking form LCAs but everyone I know has told me they think it's a bad idea and I figured it wasn't worth risking it. But you're not ignorant, so I'll take your word for it.
