What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

303 is great for cleaning the outside. I use it on my wheels and all the black plastic on the exterior and it keeps the dust away and restores the color. Some folks use it on the inside but it smells like a damn oil refinery. I used it on my Weathertechs once and JHC it reeked.

 

Which 303 were you using? I use this one on my interior and it does not smell like a damn oil refinery

 

Drove the Tacoma to BAMF in Benicia to get my sliders from Jerry. He's great to deal with and after trading notes they loaded the mummified body looking package and I headed home. To bad I wasn't pulled over, it would have been fun explaining what's in the body bag. They were very well protected, tons of wrap..
Word of Caution!!!!!!!! In the excitement of the unwrapping I came about 4" of putting a dent in my door as I swung the slider around, that would have REALLY sucked! (Thank God it didn't happen).
Key Point, take a bolt and make sure it fits into every hole before you position them in place. I had to remove the first slider and ream the first two holes shown with a rat tail file. After that install the 3" welded nut tab first before reinstalling the Tacos cross over frame bolt. It's easy after that.
I didn't need to resort to the enforcer (Hammer), It was there merely as intimidation.

What company made those sliders? They look good.

 

Also Fabbed this for the hitch mount. The red paint is like repellent, cars stay away from the bloody stinger.
Besides the tow hook it will hold a large d-ring shackle. The receiver looking part is for my Australian tire changer.

 

That's the stuff that olfactory nightmares are made of.

Awesome, thanks for the info! They look super solid. How much of an upward cant do they have towards the bottom of the door?

 

20 Degrees I believe. The only thing I would change is cutting off the ends at an angle and re-welding new end caps.

How much did this set you back if you don't mind me asking??

 

Not sure yet as I've only had one person in the seat since install. It came with a plastic pin that screws into the carpet and the liner has a spot that snaps on the pin to hold it in place. Hoping that it works well.

 

Pretty sure Corona is in CA...

Had my last 3 ball hitch painted bright orange and it was like "rear bumper car repellent" for cars behind me.

i have 2 bottles.one says 303 aerospace protectant and the other says 303 indoor/outdoor living. i contacted the company that makes it and was told it is the exact same formula, just different packaging. i know the price can be just a dollar or 2 different..why i dont know..contact them and see what they tell you.

 

Thanks!! I am really happy with these tires, and in my opinion, this size is the perfect for these trucks, even though you have to do the CMC. But yes, I will definitely get some more close up shots for you.
