Yeah, when I start bringing in the paychecks again, I'll definitely have to upgrade and I am sure it wont be cheap. Figured I would run the 5100s until then, but if they have their own problems, its probably not worth the trouble.

A small handful of select mods.
You are taking one more step down going 5100. I would be on the look out for a used set of something to get you through until you can pull the trigger on a good set.

Keep an eye out for used set of shocks, I can rebuild them for you. Same with the upper arms. 1" uniballs are pretty cheap and easy to replace.

what jace said...ran OME for many years...took a lot of abuse and was a great setup for what i needed...

i moved to different setups as my budget allowed and my need for more travel increased

the BP51 would be a bad ass setup to have...probably similar travel issues though as the aussies tend to play conservative on the compressed side which will limit your extended lengths.

I'm curious how well they sealed the external adjusters from the elements and if they anodized the back sides to keep corrosion down.

I'm not an ARB fanboy and so far i'm unimpressed with the OME setups as a whole. But then again I might be a little biased to a "real" shock setup.

I have external compression and rebound adjusters on my dirt bike suspension and have no issues with all the mud, dirt, dust, and water crossings that I run through.

What I meant to say is external rebound and compression adjustments on suspension is not a new thing. It's not too hard to do it right.

    Ohlins?

They have been building shocks for a long time and know what they are doing. Not that ARB doesn't have the R&D to do it right but I would be very sceptical of these new IBP shocks.

Has anyone heard of, or purchased a audio head unit that is more of a tablet then your typical audio unit? Looking for a head unit that will display apps (like the Torque app) and toggle to audio functions. Ability to download an external app for navigation off road would also be a requirement. Not sure if that is a thing yet.

Is this what I'm looking for? It kinda looks like it but I'm not too sure.

Why not put an actual tablet in?

I have seen a write-up or 2 on putting tablet with radio (buried behind in dash). I will see if I can find.

Edit: Found this but recall many ipad/ mini ones in TW.

whenever you compare the higher end products to the budget options, you will never be satisfied.

all depends on what your needs are and what you can afford

By the time a bought 5100, nitrochargers, 3 different sets of coils, and my time to swap it out over and over, I was most of the way to a set of coil overs.

Do it right or do it twice....

    ....or three or four times.
