    What are your guy's thoughts/ opinions about the LSK race kit? The kit looks pretty beefy and I like that it has a fabbed spindle for us 4x4's.

    All this talk about race kits got me thinking about....racing. AND our MCM Fab kit. No disrespect to Camburg and TC, both fantastic companies with great people and great products. But this little garage fab'ed race kit gets it done!

    Uses Stock hubs and cv's, and travel is limited by the cv to 13" so why even go to a race kit? Just my opinion. I'm not sure why there aren't more kits using a d44 hub.

    Built in uniballs on the lower arm is the way to go, I have the tc adapters and would prefer them built in, less headache.

    So I have a weird question and let me preface it with a few assumptions...

    I'm betting a lot of you long travel fellas are more of the

    sort like I am...

    The question is more about lighting placement than it is long travel as a suspension system, but I figure you guys would have more experience in this realm as I've never mounted up lights to a truck for running through the desert!

    The "end game" goal is a "handful" of spotlights mounted up on the trucks cab with flood/driving lights mounted center of a tube bumper. What I'm having trouble tracking down is does it make more sense to mount lights at the FRONT of the cab over the windshield, or at the back of the cab off a "roll bar" ala Marty McFly style? Which does better for light down range and minimizes glare from the windshield/hood/dash? Has anyone tried either/both location? Before/after pictures? Pictures of your particular setup and how much glare it puts off? Would have done it differently?

    Much appreciated, gents!

    In my opinion, keep it off the roof if at all possible, unless it's a total play truck. You should be able to get plenty of light with bumper and a pillar mounted lights... roof bars work if you build a glare shield and don't mind whistling on the fwy

    This is what I keep leaning towards.
    It makes sense and she will eventually be an all play truck, yeah, I don't even plan to put the roof stuff on until I start talking about caging the rear and building a roll bar that is eventually brought in for an internal roll cage. At a minimum I won't be screaming through the desert without actually being long travel, and I don't plan to play at night without lights AND a roll cage due to possibility of major fuck ups, y'know?

    I honestly hate the way ditch lights look... And it just seems to make the most sense with a rear-cab mounted spot light + flood light mixture the added height should help projection of the light, right?
