the side steps are NFABs and I got them for the main reason your wife wants them lol easy access for the kids and wife to get in and out of the truck. since I do mostly trails and desert driving I don't plan on taking this rock crawling or mudding so sliders would have been over kill for my application. but if you plan on doing those types of things I would go with RCI sliders with toppers which would act as a debris blocker, a functional slider and a step for the family to get in. either way get what will be most cost effective to you and what will they be used for the most and make your decision from there... I knew my offroad time would only be about 20% of all my driving so with that said I got the steps for easier access rather than rock protection/over kill durability.

Had to do some minor trimming to the bottom portion of the front bushwackers... the CMC has already been done but i seem to still hit at full lock forward and in reverse. I'm on kings 2.5's and have the front middle fender to ground at 39" I'm afraid to raise up the front anymore since i already have 11 threads exposed... if anyone has some ideas on what i can do to get rid of the full lock rub please let me know! trying to prevent having to re-do the CMC...

May I ask how do you do the cab mount chop and if it voids all the warranty

I did the CMC on that Dans truck using BAMFs CMC plates and the procedure shown here.

The only way it would void any warranty is if it deemed that any damage done to the truck was the result of the CMC being done. I wouldn't worry about it at all.

Couldn't find the alignment specs that you asked for, Dan. I did however call the shop that did it. He said he went off of the alignment numbers in the Total Chaos literature. I'm pretty sure I included that with everything else I gave you. If not, call TC and I'm sure they'll send you a copy. I just looked and couldn't find it on their website.

@TacoMEDIC thanks I ended up doing 0 Toe 1 Camber and 3 Caster... still gets some rubbing at full lock but I have yet to determine where at... not too concerned at the moment but i'll look into it more when I have some free time. @cabo wabo thanks for the thumbs up! just got the black widow venom 250 installed the other day and it sounds pretty good... not a V8 sound which would have been nice but I have to be realistic and understand that this is still a V6

@BrandonTRD sorry for the delayed response, I wasn't sure when I first saw it on the truck and was questionable on whether or not I was going to keep it... but after seeing it in person and then using it I would never go back! its very easy to remove by yourself unlike the fiber glass toppers, it can fold back in 5 minutes if you have to load something larger in the back and has screen attachments for the back for camping, fishing, hunting etc. very happy with it and like I said the looks grow on you!

    Pending....

    Sweet truck,

I'm getting a 2 1/2" level/lift this week, adding BFG KO2 285/70/17'S and 17" SCS Ray10 rims with a bit poking out so I am seriously thinking the bushwhacker flares will look awesome on my 2016 super white TRD OR and make the tires more flush with fenders!

I saw bushwhacker site is giving a $50.00 cc if I buy the $500.00 set, so how hard are they putting on and are they well made and the fit is snug. I would like to have the black crews instead of silver!

    Any advice, thanks

    Michael

i got mine off ebay with a best offer price of $450 shipped so that seems like a good deal. don't expect/wait for a sale as these things almost never go on sale or get discounted. they are super easy to install just time consuming for the rubber trim install and tightning down each vanity bolt. as far as black ones you would have to get some anodized or paint them black... painting from what ive been told only lasts a few months before chipping... im looking for stainless at the moment so they're not quite chrome but no luck yet. good luck and post up some pictures when you get em!

You have a link to your soft topper? Is it for a 16 or a 2nd Gen that fits?

I am a sergeant in the Air Force but honestly its just saving the money and buying when the deals are good... i never buy an item at full price i will either wait for Black Friday sales/holiday deals where the pricing is too good not to buy and that has saved me thousands of dollars over the years... i also did a lot of custom builds and sold them for profits so each vehicle sold the extra went into the next vehicle... its all about how well you work with what money you have available to you... make a budget and stick to it. that $100-200 a month saved adds up quicker than you think and when you get some extra cash stash it away... thats the best advice i could give you, doesn't matter how much you make but how much you make those dollars stretch is the key.

they make them for all years and makes pretty much... its a company based out of Boulder, Colorado https://www.softopper.com/softopper great product and even though it came with the truck when i bought it i definately would have invested the money to buy one if needed. The topper is easy to set up and take down by yourself and allows you to use the full bed when needed within 5 minutes.

I can vouch for the softopper! Had mine a few months now and it's been great. I nap back there on my lunch breaks under the hot sun (open the sides for airflow) and it protects everything well.

damn this truck is nice! Congrats op
