That's fair. I think Pearl Harbor was because of a similar situation. The US had too many 'likes' and Japan just had to put us in our place, right?

 

all i know is that my chinese friends and i celebrate VJ day every year

I bet Jury Duty must be damned boring. If I ever get picked I'm going to have to come up with a response like "They must all be guilty or else they wouldn't be here" for when they ask me if I think I can be impartial.

 

I feel like I'm the only person that has never been called for Jury Duty....

 

Yeah, that's what I was getting at, I'd rather be at work than at jury duty. I haven't been selected yet, but it's just a colossal waste of time regardless. I'd rather be somewhat productive at my office than bored to tears in a jury selection room.

 

I was called once when I was in college out of state.I postponed it either 2 or 3 years in a row (forget the max) and then when I couldn't postpone anymore, I requested a Friday and it ended up being cancelled a week before the actual date.
