I believe its some sort of trend, im getting my jack stands very soon too....

 

how do you keep them from destroying your leather sofa/chair? i assume they are declawed? my room mates cats have destroyed all his leather furniture. he had a $1600 chair that is worthless now. personally i dont care, i hate leather furniture and i told him he was stupid for buying it.

 

I used a spray bottle filled with water. Squirted his ass everytime he was doing something we did not want him to do. Our cat also has a scratching post and we praise him whenever he uses it.

The cat has already gone throggh 4 scratching posts and this one needs to be recovered again.

 

my room mates cats still have their claws. they don't sharpen them on the furniture but they do chase each other and play all the time and running around on the leather with claws out has destroyed it. of course i hate the furniture so i dont care but my room mate is pissed. we cant let them outside because they are completely fearless. their mama died and they were bottle fed. as a result, they never learned to fear anything, plus they are completely helpless. one stepped in a fire ant hill and just ran back to my friends gf and layed on his back and put his paws in the air and started meowing. they aren't afraid of any of our remote controlled cars or robots. our friends brought over their 120lb great dane and they were able to back it into a corner and attack it. i'm afraid if i let them outside they would just stand in front of cars and pick fights with dogs. plus, water doesn't work. they just sit there and look at you while you spray them. you can literally soak them to the bone and they just look at you and continue what they are doing.
