Received my 3rd brake light pulse module.... can't work out how to get the third brake light off! All looks very brittle and going into the roof lining sounds like a terrible day's work.

    Anyone done it yet?

Nope that was my first thought. It even weighed about the same as a body but didn't sound like one when dropped:devil:

Just pulled the trigger on the OME kit with the 888's, and also ordered up a set of TC UCA's. Thanks for all the info @OuTkAsT and @JerryTaco .

Also had the 5k service done a little early today. My buddy who's a service adviser there said he hasn't had issues with many having low tranny fluid, but have seen the rear diff lvl low in more than a few. Regardless, both of mine were spot on.

Wheel spacers make your tires stick out further, so doing the opposite of keeping them in the wheel well.

Which version [stock/medium/heavy] are the 888's? What sort of weight are you running in the front? I'm trying to see which set I should go with as I'm looking at a Metaltech bumper and winch.

888's are listed from ARB as medium. @OuTkAsT said despite the claim they are marketed for additional weight, they have the same spring rate as the 885's and 887's, they are just slightly longer. I'm not currently running any additional weight up front (other than my fat ass), but I will likely add a new bumper down the line.

These trucks tend to empty pockets. Especially when you are on TW.

Interesting to hear. So they just balance the truck by being taller and compressing more? I suppose that means I probably need to have the bumper/winch installed before I get the suspension then.

I said that after I did my stereo.....didn't stick. The break will be short I'm guessing unless you can stop looking at this thread. :boink:

Actually, I'm not sure what lift it was. I'll try and make a long story short.

When I bought the truck we had it written in the contract I was getting a 4" suspension lift with 33's. Truck was left at the dealer to have lift installed by a company in Orange County. The following day dealer called and told me a 4" suspension lift did not exist but they could install a leveling kit and fit 33's.

The following night (last night) I picked it up, looking good with 33's (285's). They don't rub.

Not sure. I won't be getting the parts until next week.

I have no idea what your about to do, but whatever it is seems destructive, which isn't always a bad thing. Seems overkill to me.

If I see you in my rear view,...I'll let Ya go by.

I also have a cap with windoors though a century mid-height with same style of windoors. I've built a platform out of 3/4" Baltic plywood which is a 3 piece which is easily removable. Has cleats and dowels to align like a table top. Even the cross braces are the plywood with widths half inch less than the top. They seem plenty stiff even though not 1" thick. Front and rear pieces can be put in separately and will not slide. Middle piece needs others to keep from sliding.
    image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Next step route some handholds to assist with removing when needed. Then indoor/outdoor carpeting for the top. Will fit two people on separate self inflating 3" thick pads. Length is 69.5" just shy of 6' .

Setup will only work with windoors since that is the only way to get it in with such a tight fit. I think I got the 3 piece idea on tacomaworld but don't remember now.

Vertical dowels only real purpose is alignment before I glued the slats in place. Horizontal dowels have the same purpose as table top dowels to keep the top flat and in place. No screws used only waterproof glue.
