OME BP-51 Suspension coming in 2015?

    You run the risk of vibes and wearing your CVs without it... with it you can expect your diff to be your lowest point and damage similar to the above...

    Well I don't rock crawl, I got the lift and suspension upgrade because I often drive 18-20 miles on poorly maintained private roads in norcal to check on remote properties , don't think I risk hitting diff/diff skid...

    if you have an aftermarket IFS skid, it probably won't fit with the diff drop unless you shim the skid. I would only get a diff drop if you get a real skid and shim the fitment, or if you're sure you won't drive the truck anywhere where you may get hung up.

    Soo I've got oil coming out of the rear remote hoses... Last week I went to the car wash and hosed them off and dryed them with a rag. I just felt them today and they were wet so I grabbed another rag..

    so I measured a JK today, top shock mount looks identical, lower shock mount on JK is ~1.5" and the Tacoma is ~1.25.

    looks like the fit kit gives the Tacoma a 1.5" width mount.

    anyone with the Tacoma able to measure to confirm?

    I think the JK front shocks will fit in the rear without any issue.

    I thought the BP-51 sits at 2" above stock? How are you getting 4" of lift?

    I don't know but I got bang on +4" on all 4 corners after install that occured today, and each person that reported their before and afters from stock did too. I asked the tech, who was very familiar with ome dakars installs and he said must be the shock @Blackouts used a laser level to measure, got 4". I'll have pics tomorrow

    Wow that sucks , sorry to hear that is happening to your shock. I checked in on TW and read your post at my first stop post - install. Checked and no leaks here. I hope they replace yours and that it doesnt turn into an issue for us early-adopters of this new suspension kit. Will be interested to hear the diagnosis as to where and why the leak is occuring,

    Either way an install shop can weld a new mount to push the lower shock away from the axle, it's what my shop intended to do before they saw the kit that came with the bp-51, they say that they do it regularly to install rears on newer tacomas

    Would you be able to measure the width of the lower mount on the kit? I'm beginning to think the kit is more for the width of the shock mount and not so much pushing it away from the axle.

    I do pretty much all my own work too.

    Here you go, it was hard to get in there because of the rooster guards but I did my best. Guessing the steel is 3/16ths, or some MM , stuff does come from Australia

    Hmm glad I got under there for you, it looks like the guy used wrong bolt on lower shock mount. Not happy with number of threads seated , going to have that fixed
