The power steering was failing when we left, it's not any worse but I want it fixed, same with the AC.. More importantly, I now have a click in my rear end SOME TIMES.. Maybe a broken tooth on the ring gear? Not sure yet.. Other than that I'm good to go! I do wanna get the exhaust re-route done soon and build the skid for the transfer case but compared to that stuff we don't have anything close by that I'll ever catch it on so that's not a HUGE rush anymore

You NEED to put this on the books for next year... Not sure I'll be headed back that quick cuz if like to tow it the next time but damn is it fun!! And if you plan your route right, the trip out and back isn't bad (minus Kansas.. Kansas SUCKS BALLS!!)

Oh I'm going, probably 2018 MOAB. I'm still recovering from all this shit I'm doing to my truck. I need to save at least $3K for that trip.

i was stationed in colorado springs and would drive from there to here a couple of times a year after my first drive through kansas i timed my trips so i drove through kansas in the dark you would think you were passing the same gas station and convenience store like every 75 miles and that state just never seems to end everything looked the same

We kept a pretty solid expense sheet and so far it looks like we spent a little over $2k. Probably coulda done it for less but I wouldn't.

And 2018 might be perfect! I probably won't make it next year cuz I'm planning to tow it the next time so an extra year to save up for the tow rig and trailer is gonna be nice

ok so had the first meet up in nova last night it took me almost 2 hours to get there with traffic i didn't figure traffic would be that bad since i would be headed against traffic boy was i wrong. 8 people showed up 7 tacomas rangeing from stock to fully modded. it was great being able to put some faces wiith the names i see on here and to see all the different mods people have done. the next step is trying to organize a mod day. would be nice to see this in c'ville it's closer. here are some pics.

I would love to have some meet and greets for this group. I've tried to organize some but hardly ever works out, maybe someone else would have better luck.

well then lets start pushing honestly i don't see that many people participating in this thread but perhaps some are just lurking. i know there is a gentleman @TacoFMS who has moved from alabama to louisa and is interested in being involved. his truck is pretty heavily modded and seems like he knows alot about it check out his build page. you guys have a ton of great places with plenty of parking and places to eat rrt on 29.

There are a couple handfuls of people in this area that are members but never post, or rarely do that I know of. Have only met a few in the NOVA area. The Roanoke VA thread always talks of meets but never organizes anything so maybe get them involved.

realistically if roanoke has problems organizing meets there the likelihood they would travel to c'ville is probably slim but your rt it couldn't hurt to put it out there. something would have to be organized in c'ville first though. i just walked outside to my truck to find rt rear tire flat. the radio said on the way home last night that people were picking things up on 66 causing flats this thing is so big idk if can be fixed

i've got a free day and thought, if it's ok, i might just head your way if the nova guys aren't doing a mod day and you'd rather go to that. i'm not wanting to intrude i understand you've got stuff going on just thought maybe ride down and meet you

Well c'mon. I have no plans. Just let me know when you decide and I will have burgers or brats or something to go with your unsweet tea.
