FOR SALE: 1972 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40

I am selling my 1972 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser. I have used this as a summer daily driver only for the last couple years. It has been stored from late fall thru till late spring. This was a frame off restoration about 10 years ago. The original body was replaced by a full Mallotte fiber glass one and then custom painted. The original hard top is MIA and it was replaced with a black Smittybilt Soft Top and Doors. This has the original late model F motor (upgraded oil system that the 2F received) that was rebuilt with aftermarket headers, dual exhaust and a webber carb. It is running a 4" spring lift with sky jacker suspension. Original drum brakes with upgraded stainless steel lines. It has the original 3 speed transmission on the floor with the lower geared transfer case that the 4 speed did not have. This vehicle runs and drives great for a 44 yo. The vehicle comes with 2 sets of wheels original 15" rims w/ 34 x 10.5 TSL super swampers (lots of tread and hold air but are checked and cracked) and a brand NEW SET of 16" SCS F5 light weight aluminum wheels with Pro Comp a/t2 285/ 75 16 tires with less than 5000 miles and a 40,000 mile warranty. This is a set of 5, so includes a full size spare. The front has a Smittybilt XRC 8K winch with wired remote. original radio is gone replaced by a CD player with USB input for iPod or other MP3 with 4 new speakers in custom mounts.

Upgrades/ fixes I have done since owning it:
    5 - Stealth Custom Series F-5 wheels 16x 8.5 wheels 3.5" back spacing
    5 - Pro Comp Extreme A/T2 tires
    Electronic ignition and upgraded coil
All new upper shackle bushings from SOR
New Reverse light switch and 2 Rigid Dually LED lights wired with a relay
Replaced with new turn signal/ hazard relay
Rewired grounds (PO had a pile of ground wires to a bolt in the fiberglass body)
    New Thermostat
New LED plate light and mount
    New throttle cable
    4 - New 5.25" speakers

    $16,700 Cash OBO

Please serious inquires only. Also for sale on Craigslist VT and IH8MUD

Is a hardtop available anywhere, or is it so unique it is hard to find?

It was my plan to do that just ran out of time and $. If you can find a stock hard top for a '74 - '78 would be your closest fit. That being said its metal being mounted to a fiber glass tub... Some fabrication will be required.
