WHOOPS! I shouldn't have posted court room and bombing in the same sentence. Now I have the feeling that I'm being watched...

 

Non-Tacoma related, but had an interesting experience this morning. I was filling the fresh water tank on the camper when I heard the sound of something letting go. Took a look underneath, after shutting the water off of course, and the water tank is swollen like a pregnant woman's belly...WTF? This can't be right. There are several straps underneath the tank which I have since read are there for assembly purposes, and the sound I'd heard was one of them letting go. Drain the tank, take a few measurements, 20 minutes later I've dug up some 1x6" PT decking and have some pieces cut to length that slid nicely under the tank and now give it a nice sturdy platform and no more bulge. Let's hope I can make it to VT tonight without further incident.

 

Same type of strapping they use to mount a gas tank under a car?

Not even close. Very thin, 2" wide, not even as robust as banding strapping.

 

Now i will get one when I get home tonight..
