hey guys so im looking to buy a 2nd gen tacoma 4x4 automatic trd sport with somewhere around 200,000kilometers, cause thats all i can really afford to buy. however i do want to add 3 inch ome lift and 33s. is it worth it to invest that kind of money into a truck with so many kilometers on it? it wont be a daily driver so i wont be putting many km on it but will it hold up long?

It's a Toyota. Keep up with the routine maintenance and it'll take you further than you think. Mod it.

Not at all too late, I modded/ lifted my 07 several different ways up to the time of the sale at 170k (miles) and I completely expect the new owner to get another 100k out of it.

do you think it's worth it to get a 2005 with 150000 kilometers or 2009 with 200000 kilometers? same price of around 18g

I'd always go lower miles over year. They are both second gens. Just make sure you know their history where the truck is from and has been, maintenance, check for rust, typical used car thing. I'd also hold off on both of those because I think you can find lower miles second gen for same price.

To go off first question. If your plan is to wheel the truck and not use it as a daily driver than fuck mileage. Buy something cheap, rip the doors off, weld a cage around it and go to town!
