Workin on a bracket that will signal the door is shut with the tube doors on. I dont want to add "removing the door closed sensor" to the steps of what to do to remove the doors.

So far, heres what I got:

    Latch brakcet 1.jpg

    Latch brakcet 2.jpg

    Latch brakcet 3.jpg

Ill bend that line up, but waiting to get the doors physically on so I get the exact measurement to line up.

Stop throwing your gang signs up.

I'd be concerned with snagging myself on that. But without seeing the entire thing, I don't know if that's a valid concern or not.

Got this in the mail today. Plan on mounting it to the oh shit handle in the rear seat behind the driver. Ill only have it up on O/R trips of course.

    2# Fire Extinguisher.jpg

Also got my driver LCA swapped out with one from MOOG (rockauto). Cost me 115$ after shipping and another 21.50 for a do-it-yourself garage on post, so I was in it for less than 140$.

An OEM LCA cost 430$ + tax and I'm not sure how much the labor would be, but I think that's a HUGE win. All thats required is the alignment, even though I marked each tab, my steering wheel somehow is now in the 2oclock position to go straight haha, but at least no more clunking!

got the doors back a day early...but they didnt plug the threaded holes like I CALLED AND ASKED THEM TO! so I have to tap them again. kinda made me angry since I called to remind them but i guess mistakes happen. The powder coat job cost $100 total for both doors, not sure if thats good or bad? (matte black. they sandblasted, primed, coated)

    Finished product.jpg

trying to get them mounted tomorrow

Spent the weekend riding at Choccolocco ORV Park in Jacksonville, AL.

Only pic I took all weekend. Saturday night after fixing a broke driveshaft and it was too late/hot to feel like cooking anything. Definitely needed some A/C
    Choccolocco.jpg

And the morning after I got home, the dust was miserable. Like moon dust it was so fine and light. Got everywhere but LOVE the tube doors for offroad, opens up everything to see.

Driver's seat looks good. Somehow I don't think that air freshener is doing much though.

haha yea, luckily there was NO mud and the doors kept the little spray of dirty water out of the main cab (little bit on the door sills and floor, but the rubber flooring made that no issue). and I used about 3/4 of a spray bottle of armor all and almost a whole roll of paper towels
