This may be a dumb question but why wouldn't you just replace pads and rotors with OEM?

I have 90,000 miles on my originals and still only halfway worn. I will definitely use OEM when the time comes to replace. I've never had a vehicle go this long on original brakes....not even close.

IMO the OEM setup will last a long time but won't give you max braking performance. I'd rather stop sooner and replace sooner than have long lasting and mediocre performance.

Centric premium rotors and Hawk LTS pads get my vote. I noticed a big difference when going from OEM, however it doesn't change the crappy ABS system in these trucks (thank god for the ABS disable mod).

Is this yours?! With StopTech ST60 calipers! Either way, the best out there for these trucks!

I'm in the market for an upgraded front brake set up as well I'm kinda leaning towards the EBC stage 3 kit I don't really do much towing all I tow is a 17' aluminum boat that weighs practically nothing.

Impossible for Tundra calipers to fit on a Tacoma as the Tundra is a 5 lug and the Tacoma is a 6 lug, unless they change the axels and bolt patterns all for just rotors which is silly.

Did you order the stock ST60's or upgrade some of the components?

More weight added, better braking needed. Thinking ahead.

Power Stop Z 36 Severe Duty Brake Kit. They work great when you tow or haul a lot of weight.

Does anyone know where the OEM rotors are made? Conventional wisdom says China but when I bought them for my Rav4 years ago they were made in USA. My Tacoma still has the original rotors that came with it but I need to replace them when I replace the pads in the next month or two. I'm not sure if I will go with OEM pads or Advics or Akebono which are more or less the same as OEM.

Normally I'll pay a premium for OEM parts if they are better quality but if the rotors are Chinese like everyone else I want to save a few bucks over dealer prices.
